This came to mind while reading through the posts in this thread. Absolutely.

Agreed. But imo even Mayweather is not a very good matchup for Pac either. Maybe it's a more winnable fight for him, still for me he would be the underdog in this fight too.

Honestly, pac has always had a stupid rediculous chin. And this is coming from a guy that does think he's hiding something. I know he got knocked out twice but peopel have to remember both times he missed the weight badly and was completely drained from trying to drain down.

I'm not sure because I haven't read everything thats been said here but I'd imagine that some people will try to say that he's not wieght drained anymore and they might even use the example of how Cotto's chin got better when he moved to 147 as proof that by moving up pac could have improved his chinl. Freddy has used this as an explaination but at the sametime alex and freddy are always talking about how much they have to feed the guy just to keep him at the weight. You can't have it both ways. Either he was draining too far down before or he's too small to be fighting where he is now.

Eitherway I'd say thats irrelavent. Pac has and always will have an insane beard. I don't know why. Maybe he's on something maybe he's not. But honestly he's only been caught with one or maybe even two shots he'd didn't see coming or that he walked into over the past couple of years. Those are the only shots that are going to phase him. I don't care how hard Cotto cracks if can't catch manny when he's not prepared to take the punch then he's not going stun him. He might break him down by going to be the body but like he did in the Margo fight never he commited to that in the Pacquiao fight.

I'd have to agree here. He definitely has been every good about pacing himself and recovering after getting hit hard at the higher weights.

This might sound stupid but I actually think that the best punch landed on him since he's moved up was the straight right that hatton hit him in the early part of the second round. That and perhaps one of the third round Cotto shots (but I can't remember them as well).

Someone suggested that Pac's best weight right now would be 140, and it looks pretty reasonable to me.

Nah man you wouldn't have to make him eat 6 times a day if that was the case. Trust me he's a tough as **** 135 lber at best.

Don't know, he did look very drained in his last fights @ 130, so maybe 135 would also be a bit difficult for him right now. Not that he wouldn't make 135, but the way I see him right now it seems that he would be pretty comfortable @ 140, eating whatever the hell he wants and still making the weight.

Pac wasn't stunned. He was jumping and was mid air when Marquez caught him and lost his balance and still didn't fall. Similar to how Clottey was knocked down by Cotto. This dude Larios did stun him.

It's the truth. He was in the middle of changing his footing and was mid air and Marquez caught him right there and he lost his balance.

No, it's your opinion. Unless you've actually asked Manny about it, you can't be sure if he was really stunned or not and all you and I can do is make an assumption. My opinion is that indeed he was in the middle of changing his footing and was mid air and Marquez caught him right there and he lost his balance, but he was also hurt for a couple of seconds. Anyway, this is not the main point of this thread.

Pac takes a very good punch. He wouldn't be fighting 147 pounders if he didn't. He did get hurt by JMM, but I saw him get hurt by body punches, not head shots.

The second fight with Marquez. I don't remember the exact round, but a right followed by a left hook by Marquez rocked Pac pretty bad for a moment and that was the last time I remember Pac being definitely hurt in a fight (correct me if I'm wrong).

You seemed to be saying it like it's a fact there but you are going on about opinion now when I say he wasn't hurt.

At the end you say correct me if I'm wrong but you are just asking if that was indeed the last time he was hurt.

You say "rocked pretty bad" "
    This content is protected
hurt". Again, seems more like fact. Then you reply with "Ok" and a smiley in an ironic way, implying I'm just bullshitting since he really was hurt. Again doesn't seem to me like it was just "an opinion".

It wasn't an attack on your post, so relax. You are taking it a bit too seriously.

Pac has always shown to have a good chin... But i doubt how good it is above 135 pounds......

His last 3 opponents have not been big hitters

Clottey - Very Average power at 147.... Hes esentially a light hitting jr middle fighting at welter

Cotto - Not a big puncher. He has good body shots, but has always relied on his pressure and acumilation to break opponents down.

Hatton - Not a big hitter either. Id compare his power to cottos

Delahoya is a big hitter, but he never caught manny with anything....

Diaz isnt that big of a hitter either

Its not pac's fault that their are no big punchers at 140 or 147 that are highly rated right now.....

Pac wasnt hurt he was off balance, when Marquez landed that punch both of Pac's feet were still in the air.

If he did land the punch when pac was in the air, it makes more sense that pac was rocked, as his legs werent able to properly absorb the damage.. I think pac's baseball like calves are the reason why hes able to take a good shot
