I wish this fight would have happened back in the day. It would have been an absolute war. I would lean towards Mayorga here if pushed.

A welterweight Mayorga would send him out of the ring on a stretcher. You don't absorb Ricardo's shots at WW. imho he's very underrated as a welter.

Agreed! I personally Matador was a freak of Nature as far as power at 147 and I think he would've eventually Ko'ed Margo.

Prime for prime? I'd pick Mayorga.

In fact, they could probably still get it on now.

I'm biased, Mayorga all the way, but even if I wasn't biased, Mayorga might still win anyways. He would just get to Margarito.

Margarito beats him. Mayorga is so overated its ridiculous. Margarito starts taking over in round three and stops Mayorga swinging wildly.

Mayorga had some serious power and Margo had a serious chin. This would of been a serious war! It's really hard to say, both were well conditioned in their primes but Margo had more of a punch output and had IMHO more of a variety of punches ( good body work ).

I'm leaning towards Margo by late round KO. But I would not argue with anyone picking Mayorga. It could go eaither way. This is one fight i wish would of happened.
