Yeah, I guess Guerrero proved a fair bit about himself in that fight. One for the future. Certainly showed more heart than Marvin Sonsona.
Danny Williams aganst Vitali,he got one hell of a beating but showed so mutch heart in that fight also Scott Lawton went out on his shield recently.
JuanMa and Mtagwa in their fight. Lopez was gone in the 12th but somehow held on. Macklin against Moore, Matt kept fighting until he had no more left to give.
Wasn't in the UK, but there was an incredible one a few weeks ago on the Mayol-Nino undercard. Daniel Estrada vs. Angel Alirio Rivero. Rivero was supposed to be some bum who had been knocked out 6 times in 7 losses. Over and over again, Estrada hurt Rivero, but Rivero would do something incredible every time he got hurt - he'd turn into the Tazmanian Devil and just start launching punches like crazy, all on wobbly legs, and as often as not he'd hurt Estrada right back. The two went back and forth like this for 10 rounds, with Rivero getting hurt at least a half a dozen times. Unfortunately, the ref jumped in for no good reason in the 10th round to give Estrada the TKO win.
Anyone else seen this fight?:? I have it on tape (well, the last couple of rounds), but its not on youtube. Will have to upload it one of these days. It doesn't get much more brutal than this fight - all one way traffic though (Reyes seriously went to town on Cardenas near the end)..
Jim McDonnell against Azumah Nelson, an ATG opponent, huge power, great skills, and one eye closed. Dennis Andries against Tommy Hearns, ATG opponent, faster, harder hitting, just all round better bouncing up and down. Barry McGuigan against Stevie Cruz, absolutely nothing left for the last 5 rounds, a corner that panicked , completely drained in the last but survived on guts alone.
Cesar Amonsot and Usman Ahmed :yep 100% agreed on both. Amonsot had bleeding on the brain and nearly died after that fight..that was a crude bloody war.
Its on the underbill of Morales - Espadas II. I haven't seen a fight like it in modern times. Cardenas is basically out of it for a round and a half, stumbling around like a drunk with reyes pinging him with power shots all over the show, and yet the ref and corner don't stop it. The commenators are literally screaming for the fight to be called off. Cardenas finally goes down in the sixth, but the ref lets him continue, even though he can't stand properly. Reyes unloads on him against the ropes, and the incompetent ref finally steps in. Brutal stuff.
