That's a respectable number, but it may cause more problems for future negotiations, because Mayweather-Mosley is going to smash that. At the very least, it will double Pac-Clottey in the number of buys, but it will probably do much better than that.

Decent number considering that Clottey is pretty much unknown in the states and considering the lack of promotion this fight had with that being said i expect the Mosley-Floyd fight to at least double those numbers.

Damn! Better than expected....I figured it would do 600K in PPVs or at best 650K which was pushing it. Manny is definitley a household name with those kinds of numbers considering the lack of marketing, bull**** undercard and very unknown Josh. Thanks for the info brah.:good

I see the same thing...well....I think Floyd/Shane doubles these numbers easily. I'm guess the fight does 1.4 or 1.5 Mill in PPV buys.

no Arum said the fight should have done 800k...

Arum had numbers for the fight with cotto a day after and we had to wait a week for this fights #'s...

 For real?:think DLH when fight NO NAMES like Campas didn't do nearly as big numbers and his undercard, promotion and opponent were A LOT better to help the PPV numbers. PAC basically did this all on his name and popularity. THe numbers are VERY good all things considered.

Even if he did, 700k against a virtual unknown and a **** undercard is a very good number. Only 6 Boxing and MMA PPVs combined last year exceeded 650k.

    It isnt good

And Clottey was really bad for HBO in this fight. No aggresion, just ****ing defense with no will to win. It sucks!!!!HBO isnt satisfied with his performance

I heard that HBO will not show Clottey again

How many PPV buys did Floyd have against Baldo? I think that's a valid comparison.
