The Super Six is a disgraceful farce

This tournament has turned into a joke. An event like this should transcend sport, but nobody I know who is not a big fan of boxing has heard of it.

Here in the UK, Carl Froch can't get on TV for love nor money.

Then you have the Kessler v Froch fight being fought in some small, isolated Danish town, instead of Copenhagen were it makes the most economic sense.

You have Andre Ward, a talented fighter, headbutting his way ungracefully to victory against Kessler, then pulling out of a fight with Allan Green, a man who has done absolutely nothing in the division.

Now there is Dirrell and his team moving the fight to Detroit because of an "injury" and then trying to job Abraham by handpicking hometown judges, after Dirrell lost a very controversial decision to Froch. I thought Dirrell won that so-called fight with Froch, but two wrongs don't make a right.

I hope Abraham sparks out Dirrell then empties the judges brown envelopes at ringside.

The tournament itself was a good idea, and it held a lofty ideal when it first arose, but now it is taking far too long and is riddled with corruption and farce.

Already we have seen a dodgy decision and dodgy officiating in two fights. That's not my definition of a tournament going well. The referees in the Froch v Dirrell and Ward v Kessler fights were shockingly bad. How hard is it to hire competent refs for a tournament of this magnitude?

We will still get good fights, but as a clean spectacle shedding boxing in its best light, it has failed miserably so far.

I have to admit, so far the tourney has been a big let down for me. I had high expectations going into this, I wanted it to promote the sport and the names thrown in got me excited as ****. It's just not worked.

I wouldn't call it a failure just yet, but it certainly hasn't lived up to the hype it got beforehand.

I think the promotion of the whole thing could be better. I don't like the P.R. of it all. I just think that there should be new blood in the promotion of boxing nowadays in order for it to move forward. This doesn't seem the case. This is a great idea, but there is no excitement.

Why are there so many super 6 haters. Show me another division where the best fighters are all fighting each other in consecutive fights and not padding records by fighting bums?

The tournament as been a huge let down so far but the Froch-Kessler fight should bring back some credibility.

The concept is good, but the promotion isn't. This is great for boxing, but the average fan doesn't care because it's not promoted right.
