It is not Wlad's fault Povetkin pulled out, but it doesn't make Rahman any better. I won't comment about someone being mandatory as the situation is similar - while you can't blame Wlad for making someone mandatory, it still doesn't make him decent opponent. And I do not need to explain why Rahman was shot at this point. The same with Byrd, who even at his prime was tailor-made for Klitschko - and when he fought rematch he was declining from questionable wins and draws over Oquendo and Golota to embarassing losses to Povetkin and George. Brewster... well, there is some logic behind this fight as Wlad wanted to get revenge, the problem is that otherwise this fight makes no sense. Brewster at this time had problems with detached retina and was inactive for more than a year. And, as much as I like him, despite his upsets against Golota and Wlad, he was never anything special in other aspects than chin and heart. Peter at least deserved his titleshot. However, seeing in retrospect how easily he was outpointed by Chambers or fat and old Toney (who just didn't get the decision), Wlad win looks anything but great. To his credit, some of the knockdowns were after illegal shots... but again, almost every Peter opponent got his share of rabbit punches.
And you won't catch me saying that any of the Current reigning champs have a severe problem in stopping their opponents either. What's your point?
he is approaching 50 KO's for his career which has not been done by many former Heavyweight Champions. I think only Louis, Baer, Foreman and a couple others have done it. Not many. Either way it is a huge accomplishment.
The only reason Wlad hasn't given all his opponents pizza face--->KO is because he is a merciful man.
Better learn to fight like a ***** then. Send out a memo to the rest of the heavyweight division ASAP.
