You see I mirror a lot of the responses.

I think both guys are gentlemen, good role models and I can't say they aren't dominant. The issue for me is fighting style - no offence to anyone but I think they look god awful.

I used to dislike Wladimir as a fighter, but have grown to really enjoy his pure dominance. I don't think I've ever actually witnessed such domination at the upper echellon of a sport like boxing. Sure, Fedor is also a dominant figure but really, Wladimir haven't lost a round in many years.

Some say its due to the poor opposition, but he can only fight whats in front of him, and he sure does a good job disposing of his opposition.

Seriously not baiting anyone m8. Not my style, it was a serious question and I appreicate ur answer.

I like Ali vs. Wepner. Ali vs. Young or Evangelsita is another story!

Foreman reigned twice. He's in the list and I'm sticking by it!

Its probably a generation thing. I'm 22 and grew up with guys like Lewis, Tyson, Eubank and Hamed so I've mostly got an interest in boxing from the 90s to now. I can't get excited about fights that happened in the 60s and 70s because it was before my time and I never experienced the hype around fighters from those eras.

Sometimes I wonder why the posters who constantly slag off modern fighters even bother posting here.

    Hmmm

    Sort of get it BUT

It would be hard to find someone that dislikes every modern fighter. I'm a fan of several of them!

Oh, alright. But then I'll call Vitali long reigning because if you add up all the reigns... You liked Ali V Wepner? Oh, man. All I remember is 80% of the punches landed were Wepner landing rabbit punches that would make Sam Peter blush. But maybe I'm just thinking more of Wepner's ugly mug and remembering it in a worse light.

Not even Red Foxx calling that fight made me want to watch it again.

Not that hard, just look in the classic forum. Posters there who spend their retirement talking about how Marciano or Louis would KO1 every fighter that came after them

I hang in the classic forum regularly and that's not the general sentiment I've noticed at all.

    My Top Five at heavyweight

    1. Ali
    2. Holmes
    3. Holyfield
    4. Tyson
    5. Lewis

    All in their respective primes!

I wouldn't have Marciano, Dempsey, Louis or Johnson in my top ten but that's another thread!

    No shitkicker!

I forgot because I consider the 2nd reign uneventful in comparison to the first. I listened to Foreman vs. Moorer on the radio and don't require Boxingrec to update me on one of the most memorable moments in boxing history?

You know you are the official, hotshot!

Make no mistake about it -- Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko DO have Black fans. They have fans of all races and nationalities.

I'm sure there are some people who only like them for being White, just as I am sure there are some people who criticize them because they aren't Americans. Lennox was Black, but people in the US still hated on him because he wasn't an American.

Boxing skills have no race attached. Good and great fighters come from all over the world and fighters like that can be appreciated by every true fan of the sweet science.

Some of their fans support them due to their race and a lot of black posters on here hate their guts which I imagine will be a race thing as well. I don't mind the Klitschko's, although I want to see Haye batter both of them.

Personally I don't like to see a 6 foot 7 monster tentatively pick apart a 6 foot feather fisted dwarf who is just standing their ear muffing. I wanna see that guy get taken out ASAP, not just keeping him at arms length with your reach advantage and using repeated jabs and barely any right hands.

    Each to their own though.
