what happaned to his 6 pac?

 

This was from last thursdays media workout, is a worry if im honest because if hes trained 100% he wouldnt be carrying that much weight so close to the fight.

 

Not as good of shape as I would expect. Perhaps he is taking Ruiz lightly?

He may be aiming to carry more weight against Ruiz as he may feel that he needs it for all Ruiz's clinching etc.

I expect him to be in better shape by the fight though.

 

He's only got about a week till the weigh in, not a lot of time to cut down. And as a heavyweight, not something you really want to be doing at the last minute (I wouldn't think so anyway). I would assume that at this point, he should be pretty much were he is going to be on fight night...I think that would be ideal.

 

He better lose that. He needs his speed against huggy bear.

Speed dosent go away if you have a few pounds of extra fat... Maybe if you bulk up 10 pounds pure muscle....

I actually think this is good for haye, he looks healthy like a real man

 

to be fair that's not a particularly flattering angle. however i agree he does look bigger. i reckon he will be 225ish (give or take a pound) come the weigh in.

 

The challenge against Valuev seemed to be based on speed and agility. David looks a lot bigger this time. Does that mean this fight is going to be about his power?
BOOTH: He's maturing as a man still and he's got to have that solid structure because you can't run from John Ruiz, he'll keep chasing you down. And when he's motivated, he'll keep chasing you down and then David's punches will lose their power. So we know that the first four rounds of this fight are going to be mayhem. We know he's going to have to bang hard, he's got to go out there like Tommy Hearns and try and take his head off, to let him know that David's got some serious power in his punches.
