Didnt give either Duran or Hearns a rematch until they were well past their best. And didnt give Hagler a rematch in a very controversial bout.

Duran complained of cramps, and really didnt take a beating in the second fight, Leonard pretty much just clowned, moved and pot shotted. Duran's reasoning for quitting was that he gave Leonard another shot, he thought he'd get the favor returned.

Leonard was on is way to losing to Hearns until he cracked his chin. I know he had an eye problem, but could've rematched Hearns alot sooner then he did.

    So tell me why.

And while you're at it, why Bill Gates still build those mutha****in computahs? Huh?

He fought Bruce Finch and Kevin Howard during his "retirement" why not Hearns or Duran? Hell he had 2 fights before Hearns the 1st time.

Why not a trilogy with Duran back to back to back?

Leonard also never gave Benitez a rematch !!!
There was a rematch claus and the fight was stopped with under 10 seconds to go in the 15th round.
Benitez would show up to Leonard's fights and publicly challenge him and the promoter at rignside during the postfight interview similar to what Mosley did to Gayweather.

******* still never gave him a rematch and Benitez futily chased his ghost.

That has to be the shittest excuse I ever heard for a boxer quitting on his stool. He thought since he gave Leonard a rematch, that he would get one in return????? Not buying that one. You quit on your stool and you don't deserve one.

Hearns on the other hand... he got a rematch.. and he made the best of it. I can't fault Ray for the ineptness of the judges, but they should have had a #3. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213784 :deal

And as far as Hagler...:lol::lol: Youshould get a kick out of Post #7-10.

Duran didnt quite on his stool. He quit in the 8th. Before then the fight was pretty even, but Leonard started to clown and embarrass him. Even hit him with a bolo punch which was straight sickening to do to another man

Durans reasoning was that he was sick. And truth be told he didnt quite look right.

A 3rd fight would have settled who was the better man.

Yeah but both Hearns were past their best. I'd have like to see a rematch much close to both their primes.

i think he had a surgery and retired straight after, you have to watch that fight man, leonard was throwing bombs in the middle rounds and then latter but hearns was a rock but he had nothing left, leonard never stopped punching, atleast he gave him the rematch, even though that one was controversial

the hagler fight was a more of a one-off, they both were inactive at that point of their career, people were suprised that it actually happpened in the first place so a rematch was unlikely

leonard schooled duran in the 2nd he would of done the same if they fought a 3rd match str8 after, leonard made a mistake in the 1st fight, fighting flat footed

He had 1 more fight a year later before he retired. Then another in 84, before he fought Hagler in 87 I believe.

No doubt that Leonard beat Hearns the first time, but Hearns was winning, it was close, and a rematch when they were both prime would have been nice. Both Hearns and Leonard are considered 2-3 as the best welterweights of any era. I would have liked to see them settle the score.

    Fair enough.

He schooled Duran, but he didnt really beat him up. Alot of the punches he landed were potshots and Duran looked like he was disinterested in chasing Leonard.

    Duran didnt say "No Mas"

He really said "**** this clown, im going home to play Xbox"

You're an idiot, a shot Duran and a faded Hearns. Read my posts idiot. I clearly said rematches when the were PRIME.

Thats what happens when you live in the mountains, no air for your brain.

Given you couldnt graduate high school, I'd say what "you've done", amounts to nothing really.
