Is Foreman too eroded to win, or will Golota give him the victory anyway?

I think Golota had the skills to defeat George via decision at this time, but I dont think he would be able to stand up to the pressure. I think George makes him fold late and stops him. Golota just couldnt handle any type of resistance over the course of a fight and I think even old George is too intimidating for him.

it may be a cliche where golota is concerned but he may well get dq here big george would not fold and would just keep plodding on putting pressure on golota and as said golota would not be react well to this and would implode mentally

foreman by ko or by dq

Golota would make George mad at some point, and then,

The only way that anyone ever beat Old George was by sticking and moving. Golota could not help himself but stand in and trade . He has been stopped several times, and early. Imagine what taking a beating fro an old foreman would do to him. Golota folds mentally and is stopped by the 5th round and probably earlier.

Holyfield traded with Foreman a lot of times. So did Savarese, even though SAvarese lost, it was very close. Savarese took bombs from Foreman and fired right back.

Foreman would probably win by knockout, but Golota could punch. Might be tough for George, but he would have probably won and had his sunglasses on after the fight to hide the swelling.

I suppose it could have gone either way, especially considering that Foreman's comeback was winding down by 1996.. He was fighting less and less often by this point, and starting to have more and more trouble putting guys away.. While he certainly looked rejuvenated in the early part of the decade, I think his age was finally starting to catch up to him... Golata had the tendency to blow hot and cold on any given night, and if he found himself in big trouble, often showed that he did not have the mental resolve to regain composure... Foreman's defense would be the key factor in keeping Golata's jab in check, plus when Andrew got too over zelous, would be a very hittable target for George... Although a stoppage would seem the most likely outcome, I can somehow see this fight going to the cards with the verdict being up in the air...

I totally agree. Golota would stand right in front of him all night. George's awkward crab defense would allow him to avoid most of Golata's power punches. Golota would probably lower his hands late in the fight and get caught. If by some chance it did go to a decision, Golota might be able to win a split desicion. Golota would certainly be more active with his hands than George and that could be the difference if it went to the scorecards.

In 96 Golota wins. Foreman was totally washed up by that point.

    The 90-91 Foreman stops Golota.
