    Canny doon cheil.

I think that is a very bold statement to make. When you have the likes of Duran vs Leonard I, Whittaker vs Chavez, Robinson vs Lamotta VI, Ross vs McLarnin III, Armstrong vs Ross, etc....

Khaosai was a patient counterpuncher though, Moon was completly different. I could see the twins having a boring fight with lots of sizing up and sparring. I think Khaokers edge in mobility holds the day though.

I am getting Ali's, Hearns, Klitschko, Lewis and Holmes to study as I am a tall fighter who uses the jab a lot.

    Stop the nonsense.

Barrera vs Morales I is the single greatest fight I've ever seen, and before we continue to have this discussion, go tidy your room.

Not at all, it's my own opinion.

Just as you have your own pick for Greatest Mexican fighter of all time, so do I. I came to the conclusion that Chavez was the greatest not because I dismissed all other candidates but because Chavez's longevity, career record, amount of title defenses, and success at multiple weights justifies the placing.

Likewise, I came to the conclusion that Barrera vs Morales I is the greatest fight of all time not because I refuse to watch Castillo/Corrales, Arguello/Pryor I, or any other contender, but because Barrera vs Morales I stood out to me with it's intensity, sustained action, and the skill level of the two combatants.

There's no argument to be had because there is no right answer.

    ...Now...tidy that ****in' room, child!

Not before you show me where I said the performance was better than Robinson vs LaMotta?

I said "greatest fights", which implies Barrera vs Morales I is the most exciting, compelling, competitive, two-way fight that I've personally seen. The greatest performance I've ever seen is something entirely different and wouldn't include either Barrera or Morales.

You said it was the greatest performance you had seen. Greatest means best.

    No...I really didn't.

Not once did I use the word "performance" in conjunction with "greatest". I said it was the greatest single fight I've ever seen and according to me, in order for a fight to be great it must first be competitive. I touched on his other performances as being technically perfect, not being among the "greatest". What are we arguing here, Greg? I think you misinterpreted my post and now you've realized it yourself, far to stubborn to admit it.

Addie, I didnt actually realize we was arguing over nothing there. Sorry about that.

Also Dan Lamotta had every right to be in that ring, but what makes you think different?

Well if memory serves me right Lamotta was nothing shy of a punch bag in their final fight and is was as one sided as any fight I recall. Fell free to correct me though by all means. If this was the fight you was alluding too then how can it be classed as one of the best fights of all time ? Or as a matter of fact the greatest performance of all time ?

When I list my favorite fights of all time, they all have one thing in common, Greg. They are all competitive. A bout cannot be a great one, in my judgment, if it is a one-sided masterclass. That would constitute as a great performance as opposed to a great fight. That's where fights like Chavez vs Rosario, and Robinson vs LaMotta VI belong.

The greatest fight in my opinion is Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales I. 12 rounds of savage, sustained, brutal action by two magnificent fighters in their prime. Alexis Arguello vs Aaron Pryor I would be my second choice.

The greatest performance I've personally ever seen is Roberto Duran's against Iran Barkley in 1989. Some have a hard time understanding why, but the man was almost 38 years old, hadn't been relevant for a few years, and then takes on someone who's a champion in his own right who has every possible size advantage. Duran overcomes the odds and beats Barkley handily, or at least according to my scorecard. There's so many other candidates, none of which I'd ever consider dismissing.

...You sure the room's tidy mate? I'll ring your parents.
