Pac fans-"really" how good is floyd mayweather jr?

Floyd could have been the greatest of this generation if Pac didnt step up. Floyd is the best defensive fighter currently. But he's not overtaking Pac until he beats him.

What's stupid is, you often times see Floydettes trying to portray Pac as the 1-dimensional fighter that he is 10 yrs ago.

 

Mayweather is an excellent fighter. The best after Pac. Both Mosley and Pac have faced tougher oppositions in a P4P sense. Mosley fighting Wright and Pac who was once at minimum weight defeating Cotto.

 

I'm a ******* but i think Pac is at best top 20ish ATG, he's not within top 20 yet. I have him at 25. Floyd isn't in my top 50, he's around 55 to 60.

Being a fight fan too, that believes on style make fights - i wouldn't bet that Pac beat Floyd, though Pac has a very good chance. But if ill be forced to bet, ill bet on Floyd. I've thought this through and "i think" stylistically Floyd beats Pac. One fight matchup doesn't mean the winner is highter ATG-wise to the other. Why Hearns beat Duran or Ali will beat Robinson had they fought (bigger, why this sweet science have weight divisions).

ATG rank in boxing and in many sports is about the quality of the opposition faced and how the athlete respond or perform to the level of competition, winning or loosing has it's bearing of course - but it's not the only yardstick. Quality of opposition is where Floyd fell short. Floyd is very skilled, but i qualify him as a somewhat a "wasted talent". I'm not affected by his arrogance and talks, i know it's just a facade - plus Floyd can back it up in the ring anyway. But he's so business centric, to the point that "i think" he's disrespecting the sport in some ways.


For the record, im the type of ******* that hates Arum and dislike Roach's opinion the past couple of months, Roach for some reason rubbed Arum's over-cautiousness. In the past him and Pac see eye-to-eye in the warrior or the "anytime, anywhere" mindset.

 

Now if only I knew what ARGUAMANTLEY means...

 

i dont get it with some of you people on this site. Im a huge pacquiao fan, but im also a fan of cotto, mayweather, mosley etc. Just cuz your a fan of a fighter dosent mean you have to hate on every other fighter

the best defensive boxer in the game. I do think he has cherry picked fighters lately because all he cares about is money.

he should have been the first to fight cotto in a war, he should have been the one taking down margarito, floyd has the chance but chased the green instead.

I dont think floyd has faced anyone close to the ability of pacman which is why i believe he will get knocked out, floyd cant keep off the onslaught of angle and combo hits by pacman. nobody can anymore.

floyd will be the biggest test for pac as pac would be for floyd. stop hiding behind the drug testing and your father, time to be a man

Most Pac fans know how good Mayweather is.... & most Pac fans were quite happy with the fight not coming off despite saying otherwise.
