The maximum heart rate has nothing to do with his shape. It's a natural thing and is not good nor bad. At 40 years old, my max was 195 and I was not the best runner, believe me! I was ok, nothing more. It's to go back so fast, after a long training, that is insane. Again, after one round, to go back fast is not so difficult, but after 12 rounds...
I heard an interview with Lance Armstrong's doctor once. He said he just laughed when the steroid accusations started. I guess Lance just has one incredible cardio-vascular system and that make him who he is. You can only develop what you are born with so far. We all like to think that with enough training, etc....... Truth is some are just born better equipped.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7Rm-GKVVvk[/ame] hahaha... about 4:15 into this video Ricky talks about a bet that he had with Edison. On the way to Quebec City from Montreal he made a $300 bet that Ricky couldnt sit in the snow without pants on for 3 minutes. I saw actual pictures of Ricky trying to do it. It was on the side of the highway. I wonder what people driving by were thinking!
Only thing is that everybody involve in those videos seems to forget how Bute won 11 rounds in the first fight and that he was the first man to KO Andrade early in the second outing...... :bbbGo Bute :bbb
Some say Miranda will test Bute's chin. Well, is there anyone 175 lbs and down that would not have been stopped by the punch that KOed David Banks? If Bute is caught by such a punch, he gets stopped, but so would anyone else, iron chinned or not. Bute's chin has already been tested. It's good enough not to become a limiting factor to Bute's hopes of becoming an elite level fighter, so that's all that matters.
Bute's athleticism, ring awareness, and defense are on a completely different level than Banks', so I don't really see that being a factor. Edison "Geronimo! Watch out, there's a punch coming! Any second now...wait for it...wait for it..." Miranda will be lucky to hit him with anything even 60% 'clean'. The last person to catch Bute on the button was Golovkin. Fool him once, shame on him...
Exactly. Another cyclist, Miguel Indurain, could go up to 200 and when he wasn't cycling, he could be at 35. You're born with it or not.
And under pro-boxing rules, Bute would have beaten the count. Golovkin would have probably stopped him subsequently, but he didn't manage to lay Bute flat out Pacquiao-Hatton style. So I would say his chin was not a limiting factor.
Id say you may not be far off if the Bonilla Miranda was coming to fight. Nobody knows if you can teach this dog.....
A fighter can develop and add to his game. But no trainer will turn Miranda into a slick boxer "a la Ward"... And once things get tough, these boxers -the ones that are trying to change their style of fighting- usually go back to what they know best, their old style. But, let's give Miranda the benefit of the doubt...
