Duran never asked a man to weigh in below the limit that they defended their title in lol... Duran and his 'no mas'...well, check out PAc's second ko loss in which he lost his fly weight title...tell me that was not as bad as the 'Mo Mas' fiasco lol...

What is amazing is how this thread has lasted so long. I could swear we have seen this poll and thread before. Someone asked me about Pacman's resume and who are the greats he beat. Well mainly Morales and Barrera and Delahoya. I think Oscar was still relatively good when Manny fought him, and he used speed and broke Oscar apart and made him quit. The Cotto and Hatton and Clottey wins are not great, but they back up his win over Oscar and shows that it was no fluke.

So MAG is quick to dismiss Duran's victory over optimal Ray Leonard but is now talking up Oscar as being "relatively good" when he fought Manny Pacquiao.

    ...God help us all...

The last two times he fought Morales, the fight against Oscar he was fighting shot and drained fighters. The first Barrera fight is a quality win the second one in my opinion Barrera was on his very last legs. Regardless Duran's victory or SRL is by far better than anything Manny has every done, not hating just a fact.

I see your point. I have stated what I feel about that fight so many times, but I will state it again since this is a message board. Ray was not a top fighter yet when he fought Duran. Once he lost to Duran he put it all together. Simply, he fought Duran's fight after Duran insulted his wife which he admits to. compare the rematch and the first fight, and the person who is fighting differently is Ray. He is on his toes and moving. I think the first fight Ray starts brawling and then he is hurt in round 2 and by that point it was hard to go back. The fact he went 15 with Duran is incredible fighting Duran's fight and beating him in the rematch proved he was the better fighter. The 3rd match just backed up the rematch win. I am not sure why people do not see this. Ray obviously was the guy who came out ahead in his fights with Duran.

I agree with you that Ray was much better in the second fight no question.

I just believe Ray was the variable in those fights. Duran fought the same way each time, and it was Ray who decided how he would fight and if he would fight Duran's fight or fight his fight and not let Duran get close.

He couldn't beat Kirkland Laing with TWO arms, and we're supposed to believe he crushes Cotto, Hatton and Clottey with one? lol...

Duran has this whole fantasy career in his fan's mind, where his losses don't exist, no mas doesn't exist, where he came straight from LW, beat Sugar Ray and retired.

    That's not what happened.
