I wish I had the energy to work a little harder at this. You said something so mind-bendingly stupid once that u got laughed at for days, but I can't remember what it was. This is a month or two ago, before you made the Winky is an ATG post.

Don't suppose you'd refresh my memory would you?

No i dont recall and believe me i would own up to it if i did.Cause when it comes to boxing im confident in what i say and will stand by it.
As for Winky being an ATG well that would depend on what your criteria is i would rank him as a Bottom top 100 all time fighter and there is no denying his ability in his prime.

What is so hard about understanding what I said? Ray did not fight his fight against Duran in Montreal. Ray was the variable. He moves he wins, he doesn't he losses. That is how that fight turned out, and the second and thirds fights he moved and didn't brawl with Duran.

Ray had not had to deal with the mental aspect of the game up to June of 1980. Duran had. Once Ray experienced it he fought his fight because he was the variable to winning or losing, not Duran.

The only greats who Duran fought who could have brawled with Duran and won is probably Hearns and Hagler. Hagler fought that lackadaisical fight against Duran because he knew Duran had a great inside fight and didn't want to be suckered in.
And Oscar in my mind was still a good fighter in 2008 when he fought Pacman. He was not this washed up fighter who Pacman just picked apart. Pacman made him look washed up.
Do you guys really not understand what I am saying or think it is way off? I think you understand, but you act like you do not. Saying Oscar was relatively good compared to Pacman should be clear what that means. Some of you complain when I write too much here, but if I do not make clear my every meaning, you seem to not understand exactly what I meant by the comment. So I have to write 3 paragraphs explaining. Should I write a 3 paragraph explanation of "relatively good compared to Pacman in 2008"?

He seems to know boxing better than you dude!!!! Manny fought the better guys and beat the better guys!!! Hearns or Benitez are not better than Morales and Barrera and Leonard no better than Delhoya!

    :huh

    very strange comments indeed.

Especially considering SRL is a very considerable distance ahead of Barrera in terms of ATG status, and Ken Buchanan was at the very worst an equal of Barrera in terms of ATG status..... at the very worst.

Duran but it's VERY close. People should remember Pac was an ATG after beating the three greatest Mexican fighters of our generation. His resume is RIDICULOUS at this point...

    Hussein
    Sanchez
    Ledwaba
    Barrera
    Morales
    Marquez
    Larios
    Diaz
    De La Hoya
    Cotto
    Hatton
    Clottey

    really unbelievable stuff.

Come on bro:patsch Ive been backin up Buchanan here and i would considered him an atg, but to say he was at the very worst an equal to Barrera:huh No sir I would put Buchanan around the 100 ish (more or less) range of atgs. And Barrera around 50 ish.

YEy good post short and to the point bottom line Duran is a top 5 ATG and Pac is top 15. He has to beat the winner of the May and Mosley to be considered for top 10.

You think that this simple outlooks excuses anything you've said lol... Duran beat Leonard. The man ruled his division for 6 years... MAB, JMM, Pac nor EM came close to doing this... Duran faced a lot of the biggger men above his prime fighting weight past his prime... When you look at who he fought, who he beat and lost to...how could anyone ever say that a fighter like Duran is overrated lol... People who saw Duran fight no about "manos de piedra". Duran was a man, and it took men to beat him or take him out. Like any great, he won some and lost some, but he fought them all, and that is something no Pacfan can ever say about Pac...that he fought everyone out there...
