Nothing can top that Pac vs SRR thread. It seems the *******s are bad but at one point were almost worse. Luckily they ventured off to Pacland once they realized that others wouldn't agree with their ****.
The Hopkins that beat Pavlik would man-handle the **** out of Pacquiao. Hopkins knows how to clinch and maul and work on the inside and he'd have an easy time of it against someone so much smaller and weaker than he. Manny would not be able to hurt Hopkins with a punch to the head, either. Hopkins had an ATG chin at 160 and a very good one at 175. He's taken clean power punches off of big punchers like Echols and Trinidad. Manny couldn't even score a flash off-balance KD because Hopkins is, almost literally, never off balance. Manny could hurt him to the body, because it's almost always possible for anybody to hurt anybody to the body of they land one of the 1 in 100 punches, but in this case the odds are more likely 1 in 1,000 of Manny landing a body punch that really bothers Bernard. Manny wouldn't have anything to trouble Bernard, he would have to retreat, retreat, retreat constantly to have any chance to last the distance. Hopkins would tear Manny up in close, out-jab him from a distance and Manny would never be able to land anything significant and if he did Hopkins would be able to shake it off without issue.
Hopkins beats Pacquiao head to head, pound for pound. Edit: If anyone thinks Pacquiao beats Hopkins not on a pound for pound basis, but just straight up... well, no comment.
Don't generalize. I dedicated my existence to the sweet science in 1985 and I've been a die-hard fan and participant for the last 25 years. I'm also a proud, card-carrying "*******". New to the sport? Not quite.
He said "IF" they were the same weight, Pac would beat BHop especially now that he's older. What was wrong with what he said. atsch If you think what he said was wrong, then all those saying Pac is #1 p4p are wrong. Isn't what p4p is for? If these boxers were all in the same weight divisions at their current status.
LMFAO. Are you serious? It's a "what if..." situation. Please look up the meaning of "pound for pound".
Yeah exactly. Some of us have been watching this sport since before half the forum members were born.
