I don't think the odds are anything special for a guy away from home that hasn't got a high work rate. Two key factors there. I think they're about right.

Did you guys see Dwyer on gamblers advisory? He said this fight has two outcomes. Dirrell via decision or Abraham via KO. He stressed that it's not often two outcomes are like this.

 

The oddmakers might set the starting odds but the odds now would be decided by where the punters are putting their money.

I dont know why there were so many people thinking Oscar would beat Pacquiao easily. There was a lot of people mouthing off about the size issue, but obviously people were betting heavily on Pacman too.
I thought Oscar was washed-up about 4 or 5 years ago, so I didn't think he was going to beat Pacquiao. Surely I wasn't in such a small minority, I think loads of people saw it that way.

Dirrell is a good fighter, I thought he should have got the decsion against Froch. Abraham can be outboxed. This looks like a 50-50 fight to me.

I'm sure many will say hometown plays a major role and I can't disagree but another important point is Dirrell's fighting style. Everyone knows that he troubled Froch in a fiasco of a fight where Froch was allowed to use wrestling tactics in England, like all other British fighters are allowed to over there. Dirrell can make Abraham miss and possibly out-box him using movement so his style gives him a definite advantage here, the majority I'm sure expect Abraham to win by KO. I also predict that but expect Dirrell to try and exploit Abraham's inactivity, if they haven't learned to keep throwing after having Froch literally ready to be taken out then they will lose this one far worse because Abraham is way better than Froch and isn't as predictable nor basic as Froch either.

 

When all the smoke clears I have the distinct impression that Sauerland and Fat Mick are going to regret ever getting involved with this "tournament".
The US promoters know every trick in the book and these Euro's are novices compared to those sharks.
