Another problem with this 2 title bull****, what happens if the regular beltholder unifies? Does he become a super regular champ?

 

Sturm won´t fight in the next time due to the legal issues with his (former) promoter Universum. I guess that´s why he got elevated instead of stripped because it´s not his fault.

fair points... those were NOT mandatory defenses, and Universum tend to milk their champions, especially if they are as big as Sturm is in Germany (you could put on a clown, and 5 mill people will tune up).

But tell, whom did RJJ fight afterwars? Shall we dissect all those fire and police men he fought? Just relax...and stop hating, there are other things in life.

 

Sturm has possibly a very long legal battle in front of him. He probably won't fight in the next month, when his mandatory defence is due.

On the other hand, he's one of the cash cows of German boxing and his next fight, if there is one, will be huge...and the 'superchamp' share that WBA will get will also be HUGE. Those guys are corrupt as hell, but they ain't dumb for sure.

 

The regular chump can't unify. His title is utterly useless. It's no better then an "interim" title.

 

The WBA is pulling the same crap at 147lbs.

You have Mosley as the Super Champion. Senchenko as the Regular Champion and in a few weeks M'Baye is fighting Decarie for the Interim title.
