David Haye: I like to keep it real. I've been knocked down in the past by guys who weren't heavyweights so i'm not going to go out there claiming i've got a chin like Marvin Hagler. I've been knocked down before but i'm not ignorant to that. Instead, I adapt my style around my assets and weakness - as some people think it is. If you look at my style, I don't take too many flush shots on the chin and my head is always moving. I've got a very underrated defence and you're going to see what 'The Hayemaker' is all about come April 3rd. I'm looking at doing something very exciting and clashing with him in the middle of the ring. You're going to see explosions. I like the way he talks about his chin lol, i think we will learn alot more about Haye and how good he is at heavyweight and if he is able to box as he did at cruiser at heavy. With the added pressure of now being a heavyweight champ i think it will be interesting to see how he fights. Do think it will be explosive, as all Haye fights are albeit Valuev. To be fair i've never noticed Hayes defense before, gonna be paying more attention to it on April 3rd.
Well Ruiz is not exactly the type of fighter that is known to test fighters' chins. Maybe he will test Haye's hugging and wrestling abilities but not much else.
He admitted it a few times before... but some of his followers keep insisting that he has a solid chin. :huh I don't think Ruiz is the man to expose it, because of his hugging, grabbing, spoiling style, but just think about the effect it has on only this forum if he accidentally knocks Haye out.
But he is the type of fighter that will test one's boxing acumen...Haye should pass, but will he pass easily?
I don't think Haye will lose more than a round or two, if any. Should be a super easy win, anything else would be a very big surprise. Ruiz is a 38 years old way over the hill fighter that has nothing to offer in terms of danger.
