Official Pavlik VS. Martinez Poll--April 17th

Hey r u pavlik fans still gonna be on here when kp lose to sergio?

 

I've said that I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't turn into a Wald/Chambers type fight after Kelly lands on Sergio. Rubio found out early on Kelly was faster than he thought and wasn't doing much. Then Kelly landed a pretty big shot and that was pretty much it from Rubio for the rest of the night except when Kelly took the 6th round off.

 

A Whole month and Pavlik still can't get the benefit of the doubt!!!

I guess when your an I-Robot that's what happens!!

Pavlik by decision, possibly KO if he stays cagey and uses long range technique to wear Martinez down. Pavlik doesn't make his jab look like it hurts, but it does. I don't see Martinez quitting on his stool. A SD is imaginable, either way should a brawl or two ensue.

but kelly don't do cagey now, exercising body control when you throw your shots is what will win the fight for him. don't get out of position and don't think you need to take his head off with every shot...

if he does this he won't need to be cagey b/c martinez, for all his flash, has some very bad habits. in the williams fight, paul was out of position a lot and not in total control after he let his hands go and sergio cut him up. look at where paul's head was in a lot of exchanges after he let his hands go...a guy that tall was eye level with sergio a lot and exposed at the same time. a guy with sergios quickness will make you pay for that.

 

I have no doubt that Martinez will outbox Pavlik early, I only question how his stamina will hold up. If he can maintain, he'll win going away. If he fades, he's gonna be in trouble cause Pavlik will remain on him at all times. Its a very interesting fight and not easy to predict either way.

 

Pavlik will not get "out boxed" by Martinez. This fight is not all that interesting. It is a mis-match, and the outcome is very predictable.

I swear I've lost IQ points over the past several days with the Abrasuckers thinking their guy was robbed by an 'over acting' Dirrell.

 

You Pavlik groupies are somethin else. You're pretty slow if you dont think Martinez has the ability to outbox Kelly.

 

Martinez does not have the ability to oubox Pavlik. Get real. Pavlik won his first national amature championship about the same time Sergio STARTED boxing. The experience gap between these two is enormous, and to make it even more pronounced Martinez can not get out of the way of a right hand to save his own mother's life. Stop believing the bull**** and watch some video.

 

I like both guys.

But something tells me Pavlik stops Martinez late.
