Guzman-Funeka will go on... despite Guzman being 9 pounds over.

    I don't know if anyone's updated everyone on this yet, but apparently Guzman is 9 pounds overweight :patsch, but the figtht will go on anyway with the following stipulations:


    Guzman cannot weight more than 150 on fight night.:good
    Funeka wins and he takes the title home.:good


    This is pretty disrespectful and disgraceful, but what can you do?:huh

    Great. Guzman took the law into his own hands and balanced out Funeka's ridiculously unfair physical advantages by coming in a little over the limit.

    Now if Funeka's team grows some balls and changes the max weight allowed to 180, then we should see a more neutral (but still unjust to Joan) fight.

    This guy reminds me of James Toney it doesnt matter what the weight limit is he still comes in overweight,another waste of talent.

    Coming in at 6'2'' for a LW fight should be a crime. Funeka is fighting a fat featherweight for a title at 135 and getting extra money for it, he should be jumping for joy.

    I agree with you ... I believe in my eyes even if is not in the rules what these guys do of gaining 15 ****ing pounds over the night its ****ing cheating at least both will weight the same on fight night, I think the same of all the rest who do this like Margarito, Williams, Baldomir, Clotey, etc.. fight in your ****ing weight class not in the one you can take advantage, its ridiculous and unfair the rules right now, they should change the weight-in to the fight day, not in the same moment of the fight but a few hours before its unfair these cheaters get such a huge advantage "playing by the rules" its patetic in my eyes I have never supported it and I wont, at least funeka will eat some of his own medicine **** him...

    Until they change it to same-day weigh-ins, a guy does not have the right to take it into his own hands and estimate what the other guy will weigh, and then come in over.


    Guys who do that **** should lose their belts.
