Eh the only thing wrong with the previous day weigh-in is when **** like this happens and the fans are robbed of a fair fight, if any fight at all.

Fighters know what they are getting into when they agree to make a certain weight, this includes the fighters that fight against those big ****s that fight well below their natural weight. Anyone fighting Margarito, Baldomir, Clottey, Guzman or any of these guys knows they are facing someone who is huge and cuts a bunch of weight. Until the rules change to same-day weigh in, quit bitching about it. This is the way boxing is... its a level playing field as long as everyone plays by the same rules.

 

There are simple rules man. Officials decided to weight the fighters one night before the fight to avoid health problems related with dehydration right before fighting. At that point if you can make the weight without being drained good for you. Fighters like Clottey pay the price for taking a lot of weight overnight.

Guzman might be starting a revolution here. If your fighting some Paul Williams mfer thats going to be insanely larger you can pull a fast one and come in at your own weight. This would possibly drain the larger guy to give the advantage back to the smaller man which evens everything out. Then if Funeka rejects the fight he is ducking. Makes sense if you think about it. Guzman is genius
