Guzman is a disgrace. He thinks the 9 lbs will give him the power to hurt Funeka.

He's WRONG.

I don't think it will help him and a good indication of this is when Funeka decides to continue with the fight.

And considering Guzman's punches did very little in the way of hurting Funeka in the first fight, I think the extra weight will hurt Guzman and he will suffer his first knockout defeat.

All the weight is going to do is slow Guzman down, and against a guy like Funeka who has one of the sharpest jabs in boxing, that's suicide for a non puncher like Guzman.

Because while you don't necessarily have to knock Funeka out to beat him, which I doubt Guzman can, he won't have the stamina to keep up a persistant attack either.

So an easier to hit, lethargic Guzman against a continuously wronged Funeka spell disaster for Guzman who probably never should have taken this fight in the first place considering Funeka with, his long and fast jab, is the worst possible style for him to match up against.

And while I respected Guzman for taking this fight, all that respect is out the window now that he disregarded the rules and disrespected Funeka.

Look for the focused and angry South African to bloody Guzman up and for the ref to stop the fight in the late rounds after right hand after right hand snap Guzman's head back.

 

I disagree.

We're talking about a guy that's moving up in weight, and appeared softer than usual in his last fight against Funeka.

Guzman has a history of balooning up between fghts and clearly lacks discipline.

It will finally catch up with him in this fight, and Funeka will make him pay for it.

And while the 9 lbs may slightly increase his punching power, considering how ineffective Guzman's punches were on Funeka in the last fight, it won't be significant enough to make a difference.

 

I actually like to watch Guzman. I think he has immense tallent, but his lack of discipline makes it hard for me to support him, and he deserves what e gets.

 

I don't give a **** if Funeka weighs in 30 lbs over. He had the discipline to make the weigh in.

Guzman has no damn excuse.

Hopkins came in lighter than De La Hoya for his fight at a catchweight of 156.

That's DISCLIPLINE.
