The thing is theres no such thing anymore as 'pacquiao going backwards'. pac only moves in two directions and thats forwards and to the side. if hes being pressed, he'll look to catch the other guy coming in, duck and pivot away. he does in all his recent fights over and over round after round.

Wouldn't this mean Mayweather's style of showing offense behind a high guard would be very risky against Pacquiao? Mayweather will already know that he does not need to get himself into a fight, this is what he has been best at in the past.
dont take walking down to mean "showing offence" ala ricky hatton, or 'getting into a fight". he wont get into a fight. he'll be disciplined, methodical and pick his spots smartly, as always, just simply out of a different stance. difference is he wont be able to evade or counter as well as normal. but the point is the high guard is the LEAST risky way to fight manny. like i said the philly shell leaves u open to straight lefts and the one southpaw's left u dont leave yourself open to is pacquiaos, for its speed and power. money knows that. he didnt show zab the shell much out of respect for his speed, and he will show mannys speed the same respect.
Pac pivots to the side after a counter or evading punches. Then try to connect a punch while evading. He throws punches in so many angles, even on awkward stances. Forget about Pac's body that man is ripped. Especially since it's May, I don't think May can hurt Pac in the body imo.
he beats Manny cus he will outthink Manny and adjust faster than Manny....there skills in what they do off set each other soo much that it will be about who can out think who and without the help of corner time.
