In my judgment, Nazim has all the qualities required to be a great trainer. Stewart does not.

doesn't Cus D'amato deserve a mention? It seems that the best ones weave their own brand of philosophy into their technical know-how. How 'bout Teddy Atlas? Of course these strong personality types give off a you-n-me kid against the world fatherly sort of vibe that appeals to a young aggressive man trying to make his way in the world. Some have a more military some a more wiseman guruesque slant, but they all provide a sound structure to navigate the young jedi thru the chaos of dark forces. Thanks for bringing up a subject that I think never gets enough coverage-- the trainer. It's funny because in the Martial Arts it's all about the sensei, guru, sifu or whateva. Props to boxing for not entering into the cult worship stuff, but let's face it there is an underlying mentorship that mimics the hero's journey we see in movies. Anyone else feel like rambling and talking out of their ass like me? Talk to me.

I think The Hitman could have developed into an even better fighter with say an Arcel or a Futch.

I could just predict Stewards advice for Wlad before every fight
Steward:"You know the gameplan right Wlad?
Wlad: "Jab, Jab, right? or Jab, Jab, Jab, right?

Ronnie Shields is pretty good. I met him and Dominick Guin when they came to my hometown for Guinn's fight with Zuri Lawrence. I echoed everyone's sentiment that Guinn can do things if he only let his hands go. Shields went nuts in agreement and kept telling Dominick "See what I mean?! It isn't just me!" Guinn went on to iced Lawrence the quickest I ever seen him stopped in less than two rounds. If only Guinn would continue to listen to Shields.....I hear Adamek certainly is.

I think if T.Atlas hadn't made his comments about Manny's supposed PED stuff, more people would be mentioning him along with the others. Let's forgive Teddys foray into illogical steer excrement and give him his due props for training. Come on people!

I love listening to Atlas regardless as to whether I agree with him.

sometimes i wonder if goosen is just a wee bit light in the loafers-- not that it should affect his status as a good trainer or whateva-- props for style though.
