Guzman actually looks in shape at 144. Wonder if Funeka will go on with the fight.

 

You think is easy for any fighter to make weight esp. for Funeka? He made weight and his opponent didn't, it's a shame and a victory for Guzman even if is by KO will still be look as another bad decision just like the first.

 

Maybe he should move up in weight and not pull this shady move, 9 pounds is ridiculous and embarrassing. Guzman once again has fail to prove himself at the elite level. It seems hes becoming more popular in the scales rather than in the ring itself.

What is it with Guzman that he can't get to the agreed weight limit? If he fights at 147lbs, he might go at the weigh in at 156lbs.

 

I was thinking the same thing as I read some of those posts. How you can defend a guy for coming in two weight classes over the limit is beyond me.

Mayweather comin in at 146 was bad but least he was within his weight class! funeka is comin in 2 classes over! maybe the fight will be more even but it is still wrong!

 

Joan ****ing guzman put on 18 pounds between the weigh-in and his fight against soto. That is more than funeka has ever put on between a weigh-in and a fight.

 

I like Guzman but for **** sake, this is getting ridiculous. why does he takes these fights when he knows he cant make the weight.

 

IBF has a 10 pound rehydration limit. Strange thing is, it is from your WEIGH IN WEIGHT. So Guzman gets to rehydrate higher. Funeka can only go 1 pound above Guzman's weigh in weight.
