I said what I said to NBA in jest, cause we always joke around with each other. But even when Cotto was undefeated, we were never at the level of Floyd and Pac fans in terms of being disgraceful boxing fans.

I'll put it this way... I found myself rooting for Cotto when he fought Pac. Those fans are just flat out hateful toward anyone who disagrees.

    I don't even like saying ***** or *******.

Those both discredit every boxing conversation.

I realize the difference between a floyd fan and a guy who gives him the benefit of the doubt in every situation and thinks he is the greatest boxer alive.

Floyd fans are all really thick, I think that's the main problem with them. They just want to support someone or something that is always winning, it makes them feel like they are achieving something too.....bless em:roll:

When they repeat Floyd's comments (like they do on here ALL the time) it really makes me feel sorry for them, they obviously have no personality of their own. Just thick ****s really.

Thats a perfect description of Eze the tranny lover,i remember some years ago that his ***gott ass was the biggest Roy Jones groupie on this site then Roy loses to Tarver and he replaces him with fraud, they think that supporting someone that his on top gives more meaning to their pathetic posts.

I don't know about that one. Cotto fans were just as ignorant, obnoxious, and dissrespectful as any other fanatics. In in the end though, no fans are truly disgraceful. People are passionate about the fighters they follow. It makes them emotional and affects their ability to think with an unbiased state of mind. It's perfectly normal. I don't see what's so disgraceful about people standing behind their fighters and supporting the sport in the process.

I can see a problem with it.

Let's take Haye fans for example.

They will continue to suck his dick no matter what he does. So Haye has the options:
    a) fight Wlad and get the **** stomped out of him
    b) or just act like a loudmouth tosser

    a) is good for boxing. b) is bad for boxing.

However, both options lead to Haye having his **** sucked by rabid fans. So which one does he choese? a) of course!

Now, if his fans would actually make him accountable, and tell him to **** himself unless he actually backs up his words - then he may have some kinda incentive to stop being the biggest letdown in modern boxing. But while they continue to let him ass**** them no matter what he does? Why on Earth would he bother trying to act like a real boxer?

So, BigReg, that's the problem with the kind of attitude you described in your post. Fighters should earn their fans, and they should fight to keep them. If this doesn't happen then fighters stop being fighters and start being dropkicks. This is not good for boxing.

Here's the problem with your rationale, if Haye's fans just stop supporting him unless he fights one of the Kilts, his marketability will go down considerably and he will become a much less appealing opponent for the Klits. Many of the best fights don't happen because good fighters simply don't have the fanbase to attract good fighters with a vast fanbase. If Haye's fans show him a lot of support, he will increase his earning power and he will become a much more desirable opponent. If the Klits know they can make much more money fighting Haye than anyone else, they will be more agreeable during negotiations. One of the reasons a fight hasn't come off between Haye and the Klits is because they have way too much leverage and can make too many demands which makes the fight less appealing to Haye.

The Guzman fans who were on here defending him last night are the biggest disgrace to boxing. That guy has no redeeming qualities.
