He was doing this weird kind of blinking at the end....if it was a performance it was definitely a display of great acting talent.
no way..you can watch that again and see it was a clear slip...in the same corner he slipped before. I feel bad for both fighters...it was a ****ed up ugly mess and occurance. I think it should just be nullified... no points for anyone and no dq on aa's record Abraham didnt know he slipped.. abraham thought he was doing what he does..."duckin and jiving" when he is in the corner or against the ropes... he threw on instinct..much like roy jones did agains montey barrett... he was just in the mix and threw. I can understand Dirrell being as upset as he was. hometown and all. He did demonstrate the blueprint...and was winning no matter what any AA fan says. Abraham should have said something to the effect of "i didnt know he slipped" not...he's an actor. or anything else... he talked **** about a guy that was clearly beating him. Dirrell was not acting... he was zoned out like roy been in the past.... when you catch an uppercut on your feet at least you can absorb the shock and roll with it.... when you are low doing a goddamn split practically on a knee (and not from a punch) and you take an uppercut ...you can't even react accordingly....he got a bomb dropped on him in the worst way. We know AA's power... he didnt perform well tonight. and he was lucky to not catch his first loss tonight that he was going to recieve. A fine performance by Andre Dirrell...(hold your head bro) and an unfortunate reaction by Arthur Abraham.
Replay shows the punch clearly landing flush on Dirrell and his head snapping back. No arm chair athletes he wasnt acting!
It did look like to me that he wanted out before the punch when he was down. But i cant say he was faking. That punch shouldn't have been thrown when he was down. :nono
Nothing fake about that. His knee buckled, he was sitting there helpless and got hit with a right hook as hard as aa could throw it. Hopefully he wasn't seriously hurt from that cheap shot. AA was getting dominated and was frustrated.
