Hes abit more exciting than Floyd but man..this is MMA. When all four limbs are allowed, it has to have more action than that especially if you're competing with Boxing for popularity.

What disturbs me is his corner instructing him not to finish the fight.

If there was a sixth round, the crowd would have booed.

And for those in euphoria of how great this performance is. Just compare this with the way BJ fights or even Silva w/o that joke Leites. Even Matt Hughes who couldnt punch his way out of a paper bag you have to admit is more exciting.

Weirdly even though GSP dominated, I think Id now rank BJ higher P4P after this fight

GSP never stops. He has unlimited cardio, he's always trying to improve his position, he reigns down elbows and punches and tries for submission. Just because he doesn't finish his opponent doesn't mean his fights aren't full of action.

Funny, there was some standup during the fight and Hardy didn't do anything. Should GSP have been more courteous and kept it standing to give Hardy more of a chance?

He should, hes a better striker. Did you see Silva try to bring Leben down even though Leben had heavy hands?? You know why he didnt, he wanted to put on a show. This is Sports entertainment, what do you think the UFC is?

Ya that's a good point. He embarrassed Hardy but unfortunately we didn't get to see much blood as everyone was wanting. GSP was technically awesome though

GSP really needs to move up in weight to get more respect. I'm not sure who else he can lay on in his current division?

Actually hardy did have some marks and a little cut or two. I'm sure his arms are damaged for some time though, Those tendons if not torn are definitely strained to fuk. He won't be training for some time

Yea Hardy did great getting beat every second of every round. Let's give him the consolation prize because he didn't actually get stopped

Only hardcore fans enjoy guys seeing a guy like Finch fight. To people like me and other casual fans, it's extremely boring and repetitive. He does the same thing fight after fight.

Being the better striker doesn't take away from the fact that Hardy was still dangerous. GSP may be the better striker, but he's way better on the ground than Hardy, so why wouldn't he do what works for him.

When Silva fought Leites why didn't he go the ground with him where the fight would have been more competitive? Why did he insist on forcing Leites to strike when it was a total mismatch standing up? Because that was Silva's strength and there was no reason to take any chances on ground. (even though Silva has excellent jui jitsu)

And some of us are quite entertained by the ground game. GSP is amazing to watch on the ground with his dominance. Sure, I'm not going to argue that a standup fight isn't the most entertaining spectacle, but that doesn't mean the ground game is boring. He's relentless in his ground attack and never stops working.

Fitch was getting booed for the same reason that people are dumping on GSP. They're annoyed that he was so dominant and overwhelmed his opponent with his vastly superior ground skills.

Competitive at what?? neutralizing each other on the ground for 5 minutes? Silva says **** that and let me give you a beating so the crowd can be entertained. Leites wouldnt comply.

Maybe this is your cup of tea. Me I love ground fighting too if its like Diego vs. Nick Diaz. But for me nothing like stand up fighting, this is what makes this sport grow bigger. Guys like Liddell, I mean even Brock whos a monster on the ground manages to be more exciting.
