Why would he fake it if he knew he was winning the fight? Why would he rely on a DQ for a win? I'm not sure if the whole amnesia thing was real, though.
I would agree on the "point" you are trying to make but I know there is some underlying reason for you to try and give credit to Pavlik in your "point"!!!:-(
I understand what you're saying but the doubt in some peoples minds is because after the punch landed you can see Dirrell's eyes are clear, he looks up at the ref, then lays on his back. when he first lays down and is "unconscious" he has both hands covering his face, if you're really unconscious you wouldnt be able to have control over your arms like that. That was my impression at least.
I tihnk it started out ar Dirrell wanting a breather. And then he felt it was good and since the ref called time out, he decided to enjoy to the fullest. IMO if the incompetent ref Lawrence Cole started counting, Dirrell would have been up on his feet at the count of 4.
Oh, didn't know the subject was Dirrell's heart. I thought we were talking about the DQ being legit or not.
Hows you buddy, where you been? The DQ isnt really questionable, it's up to the ref. If the fighter gets up it's usually a point off or even carry on. it's Dirrell's Hatton impersonation after he looks at the ref that's got people asking questions.
I agree, and maybe he wanted a point deduction from AA as well, which AA would have had coming with all his 'low blow' complaints. An interesting point for some who criticize Abraham's character for the 'free hit', the commentators revealed during the fight that among Dirrell's plans was the idea that whenever Abraham complained about a low blow and looked to the ref (which is his habit) that's when Dirrell would nail him. In other words, he'd happily take a free hit himself.
