Actually, it's just as much a JJ competition as it is a striking competition. There is no rule that says each and every match has to be waged in certain way as to satisfy your demands. It's mixed martial arts.
I find two skilled jui jitsu fighters on the ground to be fascinating to watch. And I find two skilled strikers punching it out fascinating to watch as well.

And god help us all if the MMA should change it ways to satisfy some of the morons from the boxing forum who project their repressed homosexuality onto the this sport by constantly equating the ground game to something sexual.

If they can't appreciate that different fighters have different styles, and not every fight is going to be a KO, then maybe they shouldn't be MMA fans.

You must forget or not know that Silva likes to stand up because his got a granite chin and the best striking in mma..He just happens to entertain in doing so..

Shows how much you know about mma thinking standing up with leben could of been fatal in any way to Silva..

What the hell are you talking about? Why do fighters like Floyd and PAC and Silva always state that they want to give the fans exciting fights and in Floyds case entertain?

Have you ever seen some post fights interviews of fighters? Just listen to JDS after his demolition of Gonzaga. Most of these fighters wants to please (entertain) the fans to get their moneys worth.

How they fight is their prerogative but for people to pay seats or to pay the PPV, they want to be entertained. What the **** planet are you from?

Save your insults because it makes no sense.

Saunders isn't "****" overall, but he was totally out of his league with Fitch.

If keeping your opponent pinned to the ground and pummeling the hell out of him makes you boring, then I guess Fitch is boring.

Youre a funny guy, Leben has proven to hit harder than Hardy ever did. If theres a guy you wont want to stand up with its Leben. Have you even seen some of Lebens fights?? Go browse up on your MMA.

Whats with your elitist attitude towards casual fans. Why do you think people who actually go to Vegas and pay the seats boos and wants the fight to be stood up when they stay too long on the ground w/o numerous attemps at a sub. Because they want to see excitement and obviously they want to see strikes.

Now question, these are guys who PAID their seats and they still boo, dont you think that these are the fans Dana and the UFC wants to keep? Or since they cant appreciate grappling, Dana should just tell them to **** it and dont go to any UFC event?

Well that's all Fitch has been doing his whole career And I'm a big GSP fan being Canadian but he really doesn't standup much at all anymore, he's almost just a better version of Fitch. But this isn't TNA wrestling and if you can't stop another guy from dominating you for 5 rounds it shows who the best fighter is. I like Dan Hardy but he didn't even come close to stopping any of GSP's takedowns, but then again who can? GSP fought a smart fight put himself at minimal risk and never came close to losing a round.

Whats Leben got to do with Hardy...??

And its irrelevant on Lebens punching powers as stated before Silva's chin is top class and his evasiveness and striking skills allowed him to beat seven shades of **** outta Mr Leben.

I fight MMA...Im paying my dues..

    You are a keyboard Warrior..

Tonights card wasnt exciting..And i wouldnt say the Shogun fight was ONE HELL OF A FIGHT either.Though Shogun pushed the pace with his devastating leg kicks etc..

Look real fighting like MMA,BOXING etc doesnt always give us edge of our seat entertainment.Some1 will always be dissapointed..

You metioned the UFC as SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT..Unlike other forms of SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT(Always thought that described pro wrestling) UFC/MMA aint scripted..

Look I apoligize for any insults but sports now is a form of entertainment, even the pre fights, the hyping of it is so scripted its unbelievable. Its all about money. Just like boxing. UFC is not WWE, but I wont be slightly surprised if Danas following the marketing blueprint of McMahon.

Some people have different preference. I love GSP pre Serra, after that he just changed. I dont like the way hes being coached to "take the guy down and grind him out for the whole round" I remember when GSP were throwing those roundhouses in the old days, but hes winning now and thats good for him.

Im not announcing anything.Been known since i been here that i fight.. Previously boxing, now having a dig at MMA..

I dont know if you will ever see me performing kimura's let alone in the UFC...Im not a sub fighter.

Yes it was a boring but as a said before fights aint scripted.I was dissapointed aswell as i had to pay 50bucks to watch the card..But i dont fault GSP or any of the fighters as im sure they gave there all.Things just didnt pan out how we always want fights to..Edge of our seat slugfests.
