If an Average guy like Dirrell was able to make AA look like an amateur then RJJ would make him look like a bum. Not only AA but all the guys in the super six would get clowned and made to look stupid against prime Roy.
RJJ, in his prime, would whoop any S6 fighter - as would Toney, Calzaghe or Eubank. But these are the next generation and have a long way to go.
Abraham's defensive style might let him see the final bell; Jones never liked taking the lead. It all depends on how Abraham fights.
He's suffering from Pavlikism. One loss, immediately becomes a bum that would've been made to order for any decent fighter. atsch You guys are incredible.
At 168 Roy was punching with real spite and all his fights at that weight are evidence of that. Abraham is tough and game but gets stopped on his feet mid to late rounds unless Jones catches him cleanly before. Easy night for Roy with his speed and movement.
:good Can't we just give Dirrell credit and move on? The same thing happened with Kessler...he fights ONE guy who is visibly the better man that night (Ward) and suddenly everyone forgets about the rest of his career. Styles make fights, people. And so far the super six has been very even, IMO. No one has been completely blown out in any fight, even Kessler-Ward, Abraham-Taylor, and Abraham-Dirrell.
Roy jones at 168 was no ordinary fighter though and i doubt anyone before this weekend would have favoured AA over him anyway, this thread if maybe not others is bang on the money
I didn't say RJJ was an ordinary fighter nor did I imply in any way I wouldn't favor him in that fight. I'm only implying that this thread is **** and it's done in a shitty way for a shitty reason. So there.
