That's what I'd like to know. I'm Black and I listen to a lot of Metal. Does this mean that I'm betraying "my culture" as well?
You're missing the point. If Rampage picked Green Day because the song made sense, that's great, or if he just liked the beat, that's cool too. I just think GSP was using that song because he feels he relates to the lyrics and I fail to see the correlation except to let us all know "he's blowing up".
Had GSP used something like "victory" by Biggie and Puff daddy, sorry P Diddy, that would have complimented him well and been a cool ring walk. But having a song that's saying " if you don't know, now you know, *****" :-(
well if GSP grew up as you say listening to rap, then him coming out to some rap that he grew up listening to is just about as real as real can be. I don't see how it would be more real for him to come out to some music that he didn't grow up listening to just because it fits the stereotypical profile of some squareheaded assholes. and if you don't know, now you know, *****
How do you know GSP didn't just like the beat? Does Wandy have to frequent raves and dance with glow sticks and wear fluro parachute pants to come out to Sandstorm?
Green Day are awesome! :happy. I remember flying to NY some years back and i swear i played the entire album on repeat for the whole length of the trip. Anyway leave that poster be. Theres no need to reason with idiots.
Sounds like me and you failed the Negro test. I listen to country and western, a bit of opera, rock, metal. Im very eclectic. If it sounds good il listen to it.
No, but Wand coming out to Sandstorm compliments his fighting style well. Fast and hard beat, same way he fights. Not a song that talks about growing up in poverty when GSP didn't. Gimme a fukin break. Keep it real, yo
Are you really slow? Listening to it and choosing to have it represent who you are in your ring walk are 2 different things. You just don't get it do you?
