to pretend to slip and put himself in a very vulnerable and dangerous situation.... to will arthur abraham to hit him while he is down and to pretend to be delusional and emotional at the end of the fight in front of his hometown... sure.. of course he would plan it that way..especially when he is winning the fight and giving such a great performance.... that's when his plan to slip on the floor and recieve a shot that spun his head while he was down:roll:
Wow, love the the delusional fans. Abraham had his ass handed to him all fight, then hit a guy who had slipped and was sitting on the ground.
Looks like he slipped to me. That isn't the first time he slipped in that corner by the way. How is it a knockdown when he didn't even get touched with a punch? Dirrell was CLEARLY on the ground when Abraham hit him. Why would he 'fake' such a scene and when he was BUSTING ABRAHAM'S ASS the whole fight? There was 1 and 1/2 rounds left. Abraham has VERY LITTLE chance of winning. The response to this situation has been insanely ******ed. Hard to believe the way people think.
if you dont stand up for yourself, nobody else will. he was in the right Dirrell was playing a "game" the whole fight. Plus did anybody catch lawrence cole calling Dirrells corner men by there first name? fishy ****.
It was no different to when Monte Barrett whacked Haye whilst on the canvass. Did Barrett get DQ'd? No. Difference being that Dirrell was (prentending or not) knocked out. If he had got straight up AA would not have been DQ'd. FACT.
I didn't like the responses he gave in the interview but like others have said maybe he was in the heat of the moment. It was his first time being on the canvas and his first loss. I'm sure after he has some time to re examine the events he'll come to terms with it and give Dirrel his due.
It adds controversy and that obviously covers up the fact that he was losing every round big. I don't think he expected the punch to knock him cold like that and it didn't look like he cared at the time either. Either way what he did was wrong and I hope Dirrell recovers well.
I agree that AA made himself look like a punk.He clearly seen that Dirrell slipped to his knees, and then AA swung at his head.AA atleast should of recognized his fault and appologize after but he chose to talk Sh!t and try to make Dirrell look like the guy at fault. No class.
Dirrell could not handle the pressure Abraham put on him later in the fight. He is not a victim. He is not an innocent lamb. He hit low, kept his head dangerously low when trapped in the corner, pushed. Even when he scored the knockdown he pushed Abraham before his punch. So let's not pretend he is a victim. Let's remember how controversial was his first fight in the tournament with Froch. I think he are having a pattern here. Two fights - two controversies.
