    You must not watch much boxing. I have watched countless knockdowns and Ko's after a fighter gets hit upside the head. You need to get on Youtube and educate yourself because you sound ignorant and you certainly have never laced on a pair of gloves.

    Well, one things for sure, Dirrell certainly does give us a talking point - the Froch fight decision raged on for ages.

    just look at his reactions(face-hand). U cant possibly tell me that an unconscious man up there. Hurt may be unconscious ..hell no ...so he's acting like he was.

    My thoughts:

    -Abraham was rightfully disqualified; whether Dirrel was acting or not, he took a HARD, illegal shot flush on the jaw.

    -In my opinion, Abraham was very close to the knock out win (in a legit way). He knocked Dirrel down the round before (BULL**** from Cole, he was clearly hurt afterwards) and closing the gap while Dirrel wasn't as accurate or active in his counters anymore. If he managed to stay on his feet while losing both rounds, he would've probabaly won a decision, especially since AA's knockdown wasn't counted by the referee.

    On whether Dirrel was acting or not: i'm not sure. There are three observations that speak against Dirrel:

    -Delayed TKO's can happen, but the leg twitching/knocked out cold types are always instant KO's - i.e. Patterson vs Johansson II, Samuel Peter vs Jeremy Williams, Abraham vs Taylor, Wlad vs Chambers, Jones vs Johnson, Marciano vs Walcott I, etc etc, they were all INSTANTLY out;

    -When they are knocked out cold, they don't turn over to their sides after 4 seconds like Dirrel did;

    -Dirrel grabbed his head to draw the ref's attention that he was hit, with a "what the hell?!" expression on his face, and only after that, he felt down;

    -When he fell down, he nicely positioned his left arm in a way that he could lie well. Knocked out people don't do this;

    -Boxers that are knocked out cold stay on the floor/stool for several minutes and are VERY slow/quiet. Dirrel got up relatively quickly and was extremely animated and anxious.

    Then again, there is the simple observation that he took a HUGE right hand flush from perhaps the biggest puncher in boxing right now. Given the above facts, i think it's more likely that he was faking it than that he wasn't. But even if he did fake it, i think he had every right. Let's say he stayed upright and AA got deducted a point. No way that would've been fair. He got hit bad and would've probably been stopped.

    The replay at 3.40 shows the connection of the punch, and clearly anyone can see that this is a KO punch.

    This poll is flawed because the Abraham nuthuggers are voting with alternate usernames. Just take a look at "
    Toplaender"

    Bull****. No amount of anecdotal evidence can effectively rationalize that shot. Dirrell's reaction in the interview was classic post-head trauma behavior.

    There is no rigid template that concussions follow. I've seen delayed reactions, immediate loss of consciousness, and on down the line. You don't know enough about field medicine to say that "he nicely positioned his left arm in a way that he could lie well" as a basis for him faking.

    If he were faking it, there wouldn't have been so much urgency on the part of the doctors 15 minutes after the punch. I'm guessing they know what head trauma looks like.

    Remember that part of why Lou DiBella forced Taylor to drop out of the tournament was due to Taylor's erratic behavior in the locker room after his Abraham KO. Kimbo Slice tried to tackle a referree after getting KTFO.

    Tarver, an experienced fighter, was highly unsettled by it.

    As someone else posted, Dirrell would have to be a pathological individual to fake that, then carry on the charade into the lockerroom. Just imagine how much anxiety his family felt.
