Would anyone but a complete lunatic attempt to fake being knocked out by twitching uncontrollably on the ground?

Is there any precedent for this in this history of boxing?

And yet, Andre Dirrell, we're supposed to believe, in a split second concocted a strategy to win the fight by means of DQ and then put on a grotesquely over the top "performance" that was totally unnecessary -- and he did this ... why?

that post fight interview should answer anyones questions. He clearly had a concussion and had no idea what was going on. He thought he lost the entire time they tried to talk to him.

It's asinine and disgraceful talk from bitter, hatred-filled boxing fans. We're almost showing how MMA have better fans. This is despicable.

U just don't go from brain damage/ amnesia to ... ok and tested fine in such a short time ...some never are fine ever again. Dirrell was talking walking ..didn't need to sit on the stool for long immediately after the ko

you have the backwards. when grey asked him he said he had gotten knocked out. then the people around him told him that he won and was hit while he was down. then he told grey that he got hit while down.

The more I watch it, the more Im thinking that he was adding effect at first. Then the delayed reaction and him convlusing.

    Possibly.

That's actually the same way I see it. I think he hammed it up initially, but the real damage set in and got progressively worse. His camp certainly didn't act like he was seriously hurt 2 minutes afterward when they were yelling in his face, slapping him, and shaking him, but it was clear as it set in that he certainly wasn't OK.

So, that scenario hits me as quite possible because sometimes reactions aren't instantaneous like that. There's nothing saying he couldn't have initially milked the reaction for a few seconds only for the more severe effects to then set in.

For those thinking it was an act, don't forget every scene has a beginning and an end. I'd like to see when that crowd thinks the acting ended and the real effects set in. It didn't truly hit me how bad it was until I saw the slo-mo of the punch and Dirrell crying because he thought he lost the fight while his corner was celebrating around him.
