Neither of those 2 examples are that similar.

The reasons why it looks weird is because he falls down so slowly and he puts up one glove to cover his head.

He falls down slowly because the punch drives AD to his right and then his lifeless body swings back to the left and falls.

Putting up his hand is a delayed reaction. He was thinking of covering up with that hand before the punch hits. The brain already relayed the message and he completes the action after getting hit.

The antics post-fight were odd, but who knows. If it was a calculated act he must practice it in training cause it was very good.

Also, he was released from the hospital with no concussion. You would expect someone convulsing to have one, no?

Not all KO's result in concussions.

Dirrell must have the best chin boxing. Who else can take a punch flush on the jaw that they were unprepared for against a huge puncher and not only be ok but still have the sense to fake an injury in a fight were they are well ahead?

You'd have to be an exceptionally fast thinker. You get punched, feel hurt, maybe start to fall and hear something about it being a foul from the crowd, realize you're hurt enough that your UD might be in jeopardy, so you start milking it. Highly unconceivable.

The knockdowns look very different and Hatton certainly wasn't up, OKed by the doctors, and giving TV interviews a few minutes later.

Watch the breathing like I referred to in the title. Hattons labored breathing and twitching was the same as Dirrell.

And Dirrel was obviously still disorientated when giving the interviews.

If Dirrell was in the state he was, highly delusional, incoherent, disorientated, why on earth did his team and the doctors OK him to go live on TV - surely it would have been imperative to get him straight to hospital or properly checked out, rested.

Same reason Rahman was walking around with a giant rock on his forhead. Its not like there's a wealth of intelligence walking around the boxing ring.

It was not a hard punch as such but it was one of those nastie little clips full on the side of the jaw that just send you into marijuanaland especially when yer jaws ajar. Dislocates the hinge & socket scrambling all motor nuerone fuctions.

I know what it's like as my older brother did it to me once when we were young & just ****in around, i'll tell yer it was the weirdest trip i'd ever been on, he had be pinned down on the deck & was wackin me shoulders & i just shifted a bit & he just clipped me jawside & yer all over the show.

I think he drama'd it up at the end but he was still hurt by that punch.

It looks real 2 me. theres no acting there. AA shud just take his oil. Dirrell was clearly down wen he hit him. Very unprofessional.

Dirrell was possibly hurt, but he surely looked like he was exaggerating. It even looks like the punch grazed him.
