The guy can be elusive and slippery with his mobility and lateral movement making him a very very awkward fighter to beat but..........

Although he has a great style for getting wins on points I just think that he will be perceived as a man running from his opponent and that will frustrate casual fans who want to see guys trade.

He looked fan friendly last night dropping AA on his ass, but AA could have caught him late with a bomb cause he tired out...

As long as he fires, counters, and goes to the body as often as he did the other night, he's an extremely entertaining fighter. We also know he has a vulnerability.

Whats not the like. Even when Abraham had him pinned against the ropes he was still able to slip his punches. Extremely fast, can switch stances in an instance, and you have the X factor in he leaves his chin out in the air when evading punches, so possibly a brutal KO waiting to happen.

Watching Dirrell you are always gonna be on the edge of your seat.

If he fights like he can ie for most of his career and vs Abraham then yes he has a high punch output and a fan friendly style but the Froch fight wasn't very fan friendly that was a very negative performance.

It was pretty entertaining last night. Some people have to understand that scoring with punches and then moving out of range is not running. There is no rule in boxing that says you have to stay right in front of a hard puncher and let him tee off on you.

I think it depends. Like many fighters it largely depends who he's matched with. Remember, 2 fighters make a fight. What one does impacts on what the other can do as far as providing excitement. Pacquiao is probably the most exciting around but not against Clottey.

He wasn't exciting in the Froch fight, but last night was a very good fight IMO. Very dramatic, and Dirrell cut out 75% of the spoiling that plagued the Froch fight and let his ability shine more. It might be a case of simple maturity and confidence that is helping him and making him a better watch.

I enjoy "BOXERS" and Dirrell is one of the purest boxers in the game. He is very exciting to me, as well as mayweather and hopkins. But thats just me....i like Boxers, not brawlers.

He has learned that you have to use that speed to it's fullest. People can't fire on you when you are that fast, long and sharp. Sometimes you got to exchange and let that speed over power the slower guy. Even in the exchanges dirrell would land a shot to stop abraham dead in his tracks. That is how you are supposed to treat limited fighters not on your level. Like ward treated kessler. Abraham had some moments when he was scared to swing because dirrell's speed discouraged him and his power had gained abraham's respect from the first round. Abraham felt dirrell when dirrell was knocking him around when the punch was blocked, much less the shots that had abraham's face looking the way it did LOL. Dirrell looked strong in there.

Dirrell progressed alot and is becoming more fan friendly as he get's better. He is realizing that his speed is the big advantage and can take away his opponents power by making them scared to load up on thier punches. H

You are absolutely correct about the casual fans. Casual fans like brawls and figure they get their money's worth if they see enough blood. Myself, I am no casual fan and I love to see tactical fighters outsmart, outbox and outclass their opponents. The elite fighters on my list fight so beautifully that I consider it an art, which takes patience, time and understanding to appreciate. Last night, Dirrell displayed a masterpiece. There are many, many subtleties going on during the course of a world class fight that the casual fans simply do not see or pick up on.
