How did you score this mini-classic heavyweight contest?

Can't give a round for round scoring, but from memory, I probably had it 6 rounds for Holmes, 5 rounds for Witherspoon and 1 round even.

    I had it 115-114 for Spoon. Don't have a r-b-r though.

Just scorecards will do. I'm just interested to see how people in this forum scored the fight. I find it a very tough one to call.

I think I had it 6 rounds each. It's always hard to find a fight that can rightfully be called a draw, but i believe this one was as close to a draw as you get..

I watched the full fight and scored it. Holmes won by 1-2 rounds on my card. The main difference is Holmes won too many of the early rounds.

I had it a draw, but Spoon surprised me with some good shots. I do feel as always Tim's work rate could have been better I would have given it to him. I could see a draw because Holmes was Champ. I think Tim was a good heavyweight but most of his big wins were split decisions or close fights. He needed some B-12 when he was young

I scored it exactly the same way and have often wondered if I gave witherspoon a 10-8 round for hurting holmes in round 9 it would only have been a draw. i dont think tim won the round that big though. it was an excelent boxing match i thought.

Larry Holmes vs. Tim Witherspoon: 115-114 Holmes
    Holmes: 1,4,5,6,11 and 12.
    Witherspoon: 2,7,8,9 and 10.
    Round 3 even.

Fight could have gone either way.
