most punches thrown in a round is about 230 by vince philips

Hey Balmain....do you have the punch stats for Choc v Medley or Geale?

I think he threw more in the Geale fight but not sure.

In the gym for the Medley fight we worked on 100 punches a round. I brought a clicker into the gym and had a guy counting Chocs punches in sparring. When I first talked to Choc about it he said it was to big a task. A week before the fight he threw over 100 punches every round for 12 rounds sparring. I thought his work rate against Rob was very good. Although I thought he could sit down on his punches a lot more.

I think Compubox gives averages for all divisions.

Another With a low work rate .According to CompuBox stats, Floyd's output average is around 40 punches per round, but with a 48% connect rate. That is an average of 480 punches in a 12 ...

15 Mar 2010 ... In all, Pacquiao threw 1231 punches (102.5 per round, far above the divisional average of 58.5) to Clottey's 399 (33.25 per round, ...

I read somewhere Cristobel Cruz, the IBF Featherweight champ did 100-120 each rd for the 12 in his IBF eliminator back in 2008 I think it was?

Great work rate and not in a mickey mouse fight.

A lot does depend on the styles though I believe. I know they say styles make fights and it does ring true in the argument of punch output per rd.

Case in point, I certainly haven't seen the stats of Choc vs. Green, but I wouldn't think it was 100 per rd, yet Choc comprehensivly beat Danny. He did the job and that's all that counts.

Don't get me wrong though, I love when Manny Pac opens up like a buzzsaw!
