I see your point and i know im going to be fighting a loosing battle here but hey here goes,

Calzaghe vs Lacy, Lacy was a top tier Super middle before Calzaghe delt with him

Kessler vs Andrade, Kessler ****ed him good and proper

Froch vs Dirrell, although a close fight, Dirrell still lost

Lennox vs Holyfield - Tyson - Rahman - Grant - Mcall - Mercer - Morrison, self explanitory

    Hamed vs Kelly, others too

Vitali vs Arreola - Jhonson, although not elite, still top tier american heavys

Wlad vs Chambers - Thompson - Rahman - Byrd - Brock, again still the best american opposition

Benn vs Mclellan, tragic fight but still relevent to our question

Off the top of my head those are the fights that spring to mind, i know im going to receive some stick here but i just wanted to point out the boot has been on the other foot before and americans have not always dominated the east like the thread starter suggests

The thing about many Euro fighters is that they normally fight a more rythmic, straight up, technical style.

There's generally more fluidity in style with the best American fighters. You'll generally see more elusive fighters with movement that base most of their style around their natural athleticism and skills.

    With that being said,

Joe Calzaghe's style doesn't fit a conventional European boxing profile and I could see him beat most top American fighters in their prime.

The same can be said with Amir Khan and Prince Naseem in his prime. Then you have guys like Manny Pacquiao which is Asian but bases his style on athleticism; Gamboa the latino, etc...

By the way, Lucian Bute certainly doesn't fit your Euro examples.....

Yeah we could go on.Brilliant world flyweight champion Jimmy Wilde knocked shite out of absolutely everyone and beat fighters even much bigger than himself. The best British fighter ever to lace up gloves imo.He was no "Eurobum" was he.

Khan is one of England's, hell...one of Europes, top fighters. Malignaggi doesn't even crack the top 20 in America. We'll give you that one. You seem to be clinging to it already, and in desperate need of it. Khan can defeat Malignaggi and England will celebrate, and America won't care. Malignaggi could beat Khan and America still won't give a ****. It means more to you than it does to us.

Andrade was born in mexico but he always boxed in california and that's where he learned to box. The Froch fight wasn't a clinic that's for sure but officially he won, that's why I didn't bring up De la Hoya - Sturm where a lot of people thought an american superstar lost against an eurobum.

Dirrell was ready to be knocked out, sent down from a left jab/slip, noticed he looked over at his corner, then acted like he was suddenly knocked out. Abraham was on his way to a knockout win and Dirrell knew it. Cole is an idiot. Abraham clearly knocked Dirrell down and Cole called it a slip! Video says otherwise. The cut was caused by a headbutt, video clearly shows this. Dirrell did a good acting job. Watch the video again, watch Dirrell look at his corner before pretending he was knocked out. Dirrell was finished and he knew it. This is not the first time Cole has been biased. Check out many of his fights in Texas protecting the home fighter. I had Abraham losing on points as I expect him to do, but the knockout was there to be had, Dirrell was finished, therefore the acting job.Froch kicked Dirrell's arse.

    Klitschkos are beating everyone period.

Did Dirrell slip on purpose too? Abraham threw the illegal punch. He did that to himself. Dirrell is entitled to react however he wants to that, it's obsolete. If Abraham didn't punch a guy who was down, Dirrell would never have had the opportunity to "act". Then again, what excuse would all the Abraham backers have then?

Hope to see a rematch, but I doubt Dirrell will get past Ward, still, hope to see rematch, or Froch will knock him out also.

As far as Euro fighters, nobody can beat Vitali or Vladimir Klitschko period. Let him fight them...........they are Euro and the so-called theory is that no Euro fighter can fight? Ward refused to fight in the tournament unless he had "all" his fights in his hometown, watch Green get cheated.

    You sir, are an idiot.

Please list for me all of the European fighters Holyfield beat.

As for your superb duck of the heavyweight division. That was brilliantly done.

Your argument was "American fighters are far better than Euro's, except for the divisions where the Euros are far better than the Americans. They don't count."

Yes. I'm sure it would have been.
Just ask Lewis how judging in America goes.
Or Golota against Byrd and Ruiz.

There's too much to even pick on in this thread. It's so ridiculous in its logic...

Paulie was picked for a reason and he's a **** example for this thread, seeing as how Alexander and Bradley would both fight Khan...and not vice versa. Khan will probably obliterate Paulie, but Paulie isn't a top American light welterweight ---Alexander and Bradley are the top light welters...and the top global light welters, I think. Your point is without merit.
