Ay man i got lucky.... although Dirrell was doing like i thought he would, AA was closing in fast and who knows how the next two rounds would have played out, i could have just as easily lost that by KO had AA not been DQ'd. The guzman fight, i pretty much figured Guzman would win regardless, although contrary to most, i actually wanted to change my pick when he came in 9lbs over to Funeka actually, because i figured guzman would be more fired up for the rematch, more focused, and all that good stuff, when he came in 9 ****ing lbs over :-( i lost my confidence in the fight (i was also afraid the judges would rob him this fight to make up for the last fight) I actually wish guzman would have lost last night to be honest with you....

Well, a somewhat dissapointing week to what was supposed to be (and actually was) a huge fight weekend for us. Big changes come this week as there was more then a few fights that had us split up and down on who would win.... BigBone was dethroned as #1 challenger, and Grievesy has risen to the challenge. Many have dropped from their previous rank class, but i am sure we will see them rise again soon. ESB took its first loss as a group for our featured fights in quite some time, losing 25-16 on Abraham vs Dirrell. Our rookie division is heating up with some of the most rookies so far this year entering the main competition after this month, we might have to watch out for a few who arent just flashes in the pan. (remember ESB, anyone can join at anytime, we love having new fresh competition, and even though you might not be champ, its nice to see how one does throughout the year, and to compete within your division becomes a task in itself) Sorry for the dissapointing weekend for some, and its too bad certain things had to happen this weekend (aa dq'd, guzman overweight, ect) but boxing will be back on track in no time, I hope both Dirrell and AA can put this behind them and focus on their next fights. Dirrell did even better then i thought he would, and he should be proud of the display he put on early... but he was starting to crumble pretty fast in the face of Abrahams pressure and i was getting scared he was going to get knocked out.... Abraham was abraham, i think if his team is smart they will now see that AA maybe shouldnt take so much time and rounds off, but then again, besides Andres more then expected whipping early, AA very well could have knocked him out within the next round and a half and in which everything would have gone according to plan, but i still say that team AA learn from this and learn to start putting the pressure on earlier. Im sad for both of them, and hope they can move on from this. Anyways.... Ill be working on next months fight list (remember, suggestions wanted! if a fight doesnt make it up there that you want to see, its in your hands to suggest it) and we will get started on next month. We are almost to the halfway point of the year, hard to believe.... its been a great struggle so far and IMO, our best year yet thanks to all of you. :good AS ALWAYS - CHECK FOR MISTAKES!
Good question... A rookie is someone who is currently in their first month of the competition for the year... so all the rookies you see, are all the people that joined this month. As soon as the Tua fight happens, all of you will be shifted into the main competition and as such, will all become journeymen. If any of you move ahead in your class, and become the top ranked journeyman, you will then go head to head with any of the lower ranked gatekeepers, and should you have a better record then them, you will take their spot, so on and so forth through the divisions.
