This is one of the stupidest questions i've read on this forum. I don't know why anyone in the world would want John Ruiz to win... When you look at the facts, John Ruiz has been a "opponent" in his entire career. Despite him being a champion, vs. Golota he was a opponent. The crowd was 90% Golota. Same as Jones, Holy, Toney, Valuev, Chagaev and now Haye. Basically what im saying is, that fans come to John Ruiz's fights to watch the other fighter he is facing, not Ruiz. Ruiz isn't, and pretty much never was a crowd favorite, so why would it be great if he wins? Haye by easy UD.
Would it be great if it ruined the hype of the first highly anticipated HW championship match in years and derailed the career of an exciting knockout artist in favor of a hugging, crusty old spoiler? **** NO!
Haye has his venue, his judges, his referee, him commentators, etc., but I still would not be surprised if Ruiz pulled the upset. I am not a Ruiz fan either and I want to see Vitali or Vlad knock Haye out cold, which they will "if" they can get him into a ring, which I doubt.
I think wanting Ruiz to win has the same appeal as sometimes desiring chaos: because of its entertainment value.
I like Ruiz, but his title reigns never made me excited. I think it would be terrible for Ruiz to win. I am thinking Hayes can stop Ruiz. Jones hurt Ruiz and so did Toney a little. Haye punches harder than Jones or Toney at this point. Haye should fight a calm fight and try and win a decision and not take many chances, but if he can land the right I think he stops Ruiz.
Well Haye definitely should be the favorite here, but i really wouldnt be surprised if Ruiz pulls this out.
I can't see how any neutral boxing fan could want Ruiz to win any further fights let alone against Haye who actually actually brings along some entertainment value to the heavyweight division. Have we all forgotten the tirade Ruiz gave after losing to Toney. He basically told boxing fans to go **** themselves. The guy and his corner are complete ****s hope Haye takes him out Tua style.
If Ruiz wins I believe he doesn't have a rematch clause set with Valuev like Haye does? If Haye wins we see Valuev again, if Ruiz wins we have Ruiz. Choice between a rock and a hard place.
This dude is not a fighter, he's many things (Wrestler, Whiner) But not a fighter. I NEVER EVER EVER EVER want to see this guy fight again....:-verysadbart
