Why? because AA fought the way he ALWAYS fight, its just that unlike every other previous opponent AD did not succumb to the pressure. Had the foul not taken place and AA had gotten the ko, people would have been like, "OMG AA is such a persistent warrior he broke AD down" but since he lost everybody says he was exposed. He was not exposed because we all knew that AA would fight the same way he has fought all his fights.
I agree. I thought Abraham won 3 rounds previously, should have had a knockdown and would have won the 11th and 12th looking at how the fight was going. After giving up the first 4 rounds, like he always does, he just needed to step on the gas a little more but he left it later than usual, maybe because of Dirrell's running. But it's not like we learnt anything we didn't already know. Anyone who has seen both guys before, would have expected something similar. Maybe peopl would have expected a late Abraham stoppage or him to be more aggressive in the middle rounds, but the fight was very easy to predict.
true enough. it was pretty obvious that stylistically dirrell could pose a lot of problems for abraham if dirrell could stick to the gameplan, not succumb to the pressure and survive abraham's late surges of activity. dirrell did all that beautifully. what was disappointing was that although dirrell was way way ahead in the cards, i had the impression that we was starting to fade a bit and it could have been a real interesting 11th and 12th round. oh well.
aa took the easy way out by hitting Dirrel while down. AA knew that if the fight would go to the scorecards he would be humiliated so he bailed out. cheating scum he is and very exposed
Bull****. The reason he hit Dirrell while down was the same reason RJJ hit Griffin: In the adrenaline rush of seeing an opponent go down, self - control sometimes goes out the window. RJJ was not a dirty fighter, it just happened. Abraham still had a KO chance and he has been through much harder and more trying times in his life than losing a boxing match. I agree he wasn't exposed. He fought the way he always fights and for being clearly outpointed in the first nine rounds, he still had a lot of energy and will. Those punches Dirrell landed would have slowed down or taken the will out of a lot of good fighters.
His style is just a static one. He's not a very dynamic boxer. He won't be able to outbox the Wards and Dawsons of the world. He's fun to watch because of his power, which is out of this world, but he needs new trainers if he wants to advance to that next pantheon.
yea...right, because the reason why he hit dirrelll when he was defenseless was becasue of his style, right?? get real man. queen arthur got exposed BIG time, he got his head boxed off and was knocked down for the first time in his career.and wtf at arthur winning 3 rounds! he wone ONE at the most and it was by the skin off his ****in teeth.
yea, that's how armenians are. you know, kasparov is also of armenian heritage. in the blink of an eye abraham calculates and judges various possibilities and decided he'd be humiliated if he didn't unload on his defenseless opponent. communist mentality, totally crazy.
I think Abraham would have caught up with Dirrell before the fight ended and KO'd him. He was piling it on in the 10th, I just felt if he kept it up and connected flush then that would have been enough. hopefully there is a rematch.
Yeah, Abraham hit Dirrell because he's from a former Soviet country. I've seen it all now. :rofl:rofl
Quit ya bloodclot cryin!!! Arthur was beaten 8 Rounds to 2 at that point, with a score KD. He was losing badly and everyone in there including him knew he was getting his ears boxed off. Only a complete blind nuthugging idiot would think that he had a chance to pull that fight out in the cards.... Dream on.
Was a shame how it ended, the fight was just getting going on AA's part. Anyone who's seen him fight before knows he always fights like that. That said, Dirrell did a great job for the first half, hes started getting a bit cocky as it went on and he shouldn't have stayed on the ropes like he did a couple of times. I'm not sure how it would have finished, AA should have been credited with a knockdown and I do think he was starting to catch Dirrell more often. Would have been a interesting last few rounds that's for sure.
This :good. I know what its like to get that rush, its crazy, casue when I'm in the ring I consider myself anything but a dirty fighter, but for some reason (ecspecially when a fight is going wrong) when you get a kd (or really hurt your opponent), the adrenaline/excitement is so much you can only think of going for the KO, and nothing else. But this alone doesnt make you a dirty figher. Look at alot of fights (one that comes to mind is watch pac/marquez I, and watch the 3rd kd, no ones say pac was dirty cause marquez got up) and you'll notice half the time a fighter getting a kd wont stop punching until the ref pulls him away, which alot of the time is just in time to stop another crucial punch from connecting on the downed fighter. Point is this happens alot, but gets blown out of proportion too much when a DQ happens. Not much is said as long as the fight continues. Abraham wasnt exposed, he was just a good fighter outboxed by another good fighter. **** happens. Im sure alot of guys who have stepped in the ring will know what the adrenaline rush is like.
I think all fight fans would have like to see the last 2 rounds and what was going to happen, but I agree with the analysis that AA did fudged the fight cause he was frustrated and not confident. Dirrell looked 100 times better against AA than against Froch and I wonder if it casue of Froch's style or cause he was fighting away or did he just put it on more after learning the lessons from Froch...
