Lacy - obliterated once he fought a top tier European fighter.

Williams - demolished once he fought a medium tier European fighter, but got an MD as it was in America-land

Jones - never faced top tier European fighters in their primes. Still managed to lose to one anyway.

Terrible thread how can you say just because they are from america they are naturally better because of there styles, there have been numerous european boxers that have destroyed american boxers. i think americans should get there heads out of there ass and start living in the real world.

 

That fight happened 24 years ago. And Honeyghan was born in Jamaica. So you had to go back three decades to find an untested Euro that smacked around an elite American. Of course Honeyghan was a Euro import, and had much more than 17 o 18 fights.

Hatton has only lost to one American fighter. You know the Philipines isn't in the USA, right?

Froch also beat Taylor, an American, so what does that say about Americans?

Calzaghe was never beaten by an American so the fact he didn't fight one in his prime doesn't prove your point cos it's mere specualtion whether he'd have won or lost.

Klitschko's dominate the heavyweight division, lack of opposition doesn't make them lower tier fighters you imbecile. Isn't Eddie Chambers American? Has he woken up yet by the way?

 

Let's be honest now.

Hatton was demolished by ONE and the BEST american fighter. Pacquiao is not american.

Kessler was "demolished" by one american fighter, not fighters, and that was one of the best americans aswell. Calzaghe is not american.

Abraham was dominated for 11 rounds, no doubt by a solid american fighter.

Froch: Demolished? Nah. Close fight, that he may have lost, but he wasn't demolished.

Calzaghe: When do you believe Hopkins was in his Prime? He is impressing more now than ever before in all honesty.

Pointing out the facts? Alot of what you say is hardly facts, but subjective opinion. Klitschkos only winning because there isn't any top tier competition, Bute "is going to lose", Froch getting demolished, Hopkins not being in his Prime. All those things are opinions.

This thread is nonsense , Hatton , Calzaghe ( Witter I saw him mentioned ) none of these guys fight the "European Style" .

However if you take two identical athletes , train one to fight Straight up , 1-2 style and the other to move side to side , fluid style ( I dont know that is neccesarily American either , there are plenty US fighters dont fight like that ) I guess the second guy usually wins
