Hatton-demolished once he fought top tier American fighters

"top tier American fighters"? he's only lost twice and only one of them was and american fighter, and he wasn't a just a top tier fighter he was the best.

Kessler-demolished once he fought top tier American fighters

calzaghe beat him 3 years ago and he's british.

Abraham-demolished once he fought an up and coming American fighter

he just beat taylor who's american.

Froch-demolished once he fought an up and coming American fighter but lost SD bc in Euro land

froch's still got his 0, dirrel only has himself to blame for that result. and he had beaten taylor previously.

Calzaghe-Never faced top tier American fighters in their prime.

what top tier fighters? hopkins didn't want to fight him.

Klit brothers-No top tier HW's for them to fight

that's hardly their fault is it.

Lucian Bute- soon to be demolished once he starts fighting top tier American fighters

    we shall see

There's two sides to every coin and the OP is oblivious to this.

Also not sure how for the purposes of his argument OP manages to categorise both Bute and Abraham as 'European'. Can't have it both ways, surely?

i am from US, learned to box in the US, i currently live in UK and train out of a gym in london.

here are my thoughts in regards to competition so far as a fighter who has trained in US and UK.

Talent wise, i don't fight americans to be better than brits. Boxing is too mature of a sport for that.

However, there is way more competition in the US plus a bigger talent pool. You cant afford not to be on your A game in teh US as their is someone to take your spot quickly.

I have found that some fighters in the US actually in many ways fight with a european style.

A few weeks ago in london, i was sparring this white boy who had a lot of moves. foot work, head movement, speed, charisma - it was very impressive.

Other than the fact that the US as a market is more commericalized and bigger talent pool, this thread is absolute bull****. Boxing is too mature of a sport.

I would this thread wud have been accurate about 100 years ago when jack johnson pioneered teh heavyweight division but not anymore.

Firstly, Europe isn't a country...do some research and you will find it is made up of many countries.
You make the statement, 'American and Euro fighters can't be viewed side by side with each other.' - why is this? because Dirrell beat Abraham, and lost a controversial decison against Froch? Is this the best you can actually come up with? Remind me next time when any boxer from within Europe beats an American, I will start a thread and make a ridiculous statement to counter yours.

'Klit brothers-No top tier HW's for them to fight' - this statement shows either your stupidity, or the fact you were struggling to make your point. The Klitschko's have been beating, mostly knocking out, the majority of there competition for the past how many years? A lot of American prospects have been dominated, a lot of European opponents have been dominated. They are a level above anything any country has had to offer in the Heavyweight division, including America, and have been for many years.

Don't be so naive to miss out a whole lot of boxing history, just because an American prospect (and he is still a propsect) beats a dangerous European opponent.

Sorry, Quitta...but this is not YOUR Theory...

This is common knowledge to those who are objective and know The Modern History of Boxing.

and it doesn't only apply to European boxers....it applies to fighters from the ENTIRE, Eastern Hemisphere as well...

With only a small handful of exceptions over the last 50 years...the recognized, top fighters from that side of the planet are generally and genuinely not in the top American boxers' league.

Hell...most of their top fighters get schooled by America's young, B TEAM Talent...as most recently evidenced by The Super 6 performances...

As of right NOW...the only, truly ELITE fighters hailing from over there (Wlad Klitschko, Pacquiao) are trained by AMERICAN trainers...lol

What it all comes down to is this....America OWNS Boxing...that's the way it was, the way it is, and the way it always will be...

If you don't know that, or aren't willing to accept it...you are just another garbage fan.

Hamed had already won a title before he fought Johnson. He was hardly unproven.

So he had won a title even before his 24th fight, that doesn't really back up OP's argument, does it?!

Point as made by someone else ablve - more chance of a 18 fight US novice getting a shot at an elite fighter than an 18 fight European novice, purely for financial reasons. Though I think that gap has begun to close more in the last 20 years certainly.

Huh? You weren't responding to the OP, you were responding to me. I was talking to someone about how you really don't see untested Euros smacking around top Americans. However, there are numerous cases of untested/green Americans smacking around top level Euros. Abraham is one of Europe's top fighters and he was getting schooled by Dirrell. Ditto for Kessler vs. Ward. Can you imagine Kell Brook dominating Mosley or Mayweather? I sure as hell can't. That would never happen.
