That's true unfortunately. When I was younger, I had a cousin who lived in Saudi Arabia for a time, because his parents worked there as an engineer. When he came back to the States, he referred to his time in Saudi Arabia as living in Asia. At the time, I couldn't comprehend that, because I too thought Asia meant the Far East.

What if he happened to be brought up as a christian like many many other brown skinned people and had a christian name. Then what would his name symbolize? even though he would still look the same. However, Amir like myself is a British Asian and i would still classify Amir in the Asian boxer list, because essentially he is still 'asian' because of his ethnicity. He just happened to be born in the UK. The name doesn't symbolize anything. The name Amir Khan is a Muslim name and can be applied to any Muslim regardless of colour and race.
Armenia is definitely part of Asia. It is once a part of the Soviet Union. We all know from our geography classes that what lies east of the Ural mountains (where Armenia is) is part of Asia. West of it is Europe.
Check a map sometime. Armenia is west of the Ural mountains. The reason there's a debate is because Armenia is on the Caucasus mountains, which is the southern border of Europe.
Okey, I stand corrected. It is in the Caucasus. But still part of Asia since it is located east of Turkey. Turkey is the only country which strddles 2 continents. It is divided by the Bosporus Sea. East of the Bosporus is Part of Asia, while the western side is part of Europe.

Now best of all-time my top three would be: Pancho Villa (Francisco Guilledo) he died at 23 so could have been the very best. All three of Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan are on the border between Europe and Asia. It's pretty much a matter of opinion as to which is which. I personally think Armenia has a lot more in common with Europe - Eastern European political system, Eastern European language derivation, Christian religion, people look more Russian than Turkish, etc. But you can certainly argue that it's part of Asia. I just wouldn't call Armenians Asians. But that's just me. Azerbaijan is a closer call I think since the people are Islamic and the language is Turkic (as opposed to Armenian, which is closer to Greek than anything, though with some Arabic influence). I guess it doesn't really matter, but I just don't think of Armenians as being Asian. I doubt most Armenians do either. I've known a number of Georgians, and they consider Georgia to be in Europe, if that means anything.
There are a number of guys I'd probably have ahead of Daiki - Rodel Mayol, Oleydong Sithsamerchai, Nobuo Nashiro, probably Daisuke Naito.
Manny Pacquiao is at this point is the best all time Asian boxer. He's definitely one of the top 10 ATGs.
