Which punch has lead to the most KO's. Right Cross, Uppercut, Hook, Overhand right . . .

Has there ever been statistics done on this question?

I'd have to agree...it really depends on who's throwing the punch and who's taking it.

However(for the sake of the thread), if you were to go back and watch film on every fight ever fought you'd probably find that straight rights ended more fights than the other punches.

Any punch delivered correctly will lead to a KO.

a good solid left hook can be very vicious when delivered effeciently, or any punch set up that the opponent cant see coming.

I think if you pick 100 fights all ending by KO, randomly, you will find most KO's come from left hooks. Usually punches you dont see coming and I suppose its harder to see a lefthook coming than a straight right.

I've seen a lot of left hook ko's, but the straight right seems to be the most common.
and it's not just about the punch, it's about the fighter too, and how he's built. his left hook might hit harder then his right hand because of muscle mass but it's not just about the punch.

actually taller people have better straights then shorter people and shorter people can fight better on the inside as in they can throw better hooks and uppercuts granted there are exceptions

Most of the fights in boxing I have watched that had KO's it seems to be a hook to the head that ended it.

In MMA, I think they did do a study and found that most KO's from punches were the result of the looping overhand right that they all seem to throw.

The hook to the head of a downed opponent works well.
