Here is a few of Dirrell's tweets from his twitter account. This content is protected And for thos of u who think I was acting, I'd like to see you try and take a shot while ur down by the hardest hitting man at 168lbs This content is protected He stole my biggest victory. Because of the ending, it's going to be hard for me to watch that fight, he stole my time to shine..upsetting This content is protected Thanks a million everybody for the love and concern u showed in my battle against Abraham. I'm good though, thanks again and god bless This content is protected I did give him the business the whole fight though lol, all'n'all I'm thankful for the victory, god is good.
he wasnt even diagnosed with a concussion, i thought that being knocked out results in a concussion 100% of the time, and he seemed to have concussive convulsions as well, but no concussion
ya? i didnt know for sure, and im not trying to insinuate he was acting, the whole thing was just strange to me
That's because none of you have ever boxed before, it can take a second for your brain to receive the signal, so you're just a vegitable
dirrell: "Everyone just stop talking to meeeeeeee!" interviewer: "dirrell explain to us how much this win means to you?" dirrell: "Uh Uh he dropped me..man i dont knoooooow" lmao...that was classic.... good win for dirrell he whooped his ass for the whole night...although he did start getting caught with some nasty punchers....
Guys, by definition a KO is a concussion - it's just a matter of severity and duration. By comparison, Hatton was fine shortly after getting dropped by Pacquiao but it sure looked scary when it happened, didn't it.
I spoke to a doctor and when asked whether or not dirrell was actually acting or sincerly injured he smiled and winked and said a delayed reaction like that with no damage, concussion, afterwards is unheard of. I definitely think he was playing it up even though it was a hard punch and probably affected him for a good whle.
LOL. I tried to stifle my laugh when that happened. The scary part was that was the first moment since he got knocked out that he realized that he had actually won the fight. The question he answered before that it actually sounded like he thought he lost.
but seizures brought on by KOs do. people act like Dirrell didnt know what happened when he clearly told Jim Grey "he hit me while i was down".
I don't think he faked it. He has to be given the benefit of the doubt. Like he said he was hit by the hardest hitting 168 pound fighter.
Gary Shaw, promoter for super middleweight Andre Dirrell, informed ***********.com that his fighter was released from a local hospital after undergoing several tests to rule out a possible concussion.
remember though they had to come back to ask him that cuz at first he thought he lost by ko.....his team kept telling him he got hit while he was down...thats why he said: "everyone stop talking to meeeeeee!" :rofl:rofl
