Hard to clearly outpoint an opponent when you throw 5 punches a round. Could have gone either way (and in most cases would have stayed with the current "champ" Valuev) but we all know Haye had the scorecards. Anywho bottom line is Holyfield clearly beat Valuev months earlier while Haye needed to squeak out a decision. So again who has Haye beaten to merit his superstar status again?
John "The Dwarf" Riuz is completely overaged, has no power, can't box, and has the worst chin in HW history. As a natural coward he relies on clinching only. Ruiz has almost zero experience in the ring and has no fights vs. known names in his resume. His rare wins are all gifts from crooked promoters and officials. On the other side there is Haye, a extremely handsome super-hero from outer space who came here just to have some fun in the ring. He has superior stenght and renamed the HW the "Haye Class". His fist is faster than light speed - Two times.
Haye by KO/TKO I reckon, but if it goes the distance i'd expect him to get a UD from an ugly rough fight, in which he might hit the canvas. I can see this being possibly a tough and frustrating bout for Haye, with Ruiz clinching, wrestling and headbutting him (although the British ref will not tolerate that much). If I was in Haye's corner i'd just tell him to throw everything he's got at Ruiz from the opening bell to attempt a destruction, but I don't expect he'll risk it. I hope Tua vs Ruiz II can be signed after this fight.:deal
Ruiz didn't look great on the Haye/Valuev undercard. He seems slower though was more aggressive. I think Haye's speed will be too much for Ruiz and Haye will grind him down and stop him in about 9 rounds.
My concern is that Haye lets this go 12. Anyone else notice that Ruiz hasn't really been in with a prime puncher in a long time (not like there's a ton of them in HW division these days). But for what it's worth Ruiz really hasn't been tested by someone as physically gifted as Haye since Jones and Jones didn't have nearly the size at HW.
I agree, while I am supporting Haye and believe he will be victorious, now I think about it I would actually prefer to see Ruiz win if Tua got a title shot at him in the close future.
